I don’t even think the memos have been leaked. As I understand it, Comey told his pal he made contemporaneous memos, and his pal told a reporter.

I am kind of at a loss at how that could possible be considered illegal, but let’s remember this shyster specializes in bullying people to sign Trumps nondisclosure agreements and buying off women Trump has has sexually harassed.
He is the guy of lawyer who inspires lawyer jokes.

How could it be classified material that was “leaked”? It was Comey’s own personal notes that he gave gave to the media. Trump talked about the conversations repeatedly and even suggested there were tapes so he can’t possibly claim privacy. Since Trump was threatening to release tapes of the conversations Comey had to release the conversations to protect his own good name. i.e., Trump doesn’t have a leg to stand on and he knows it. He is such a blow hard.
