CNN President Jeff Zucker criticized the journalistic integrity of rival Fox News at a media conference Thursday.
What is this weird feeling when looking at those two things in the same sentence.
“We don’t use Trump to compete for ratings as wall-to-wall propaganda – we use him to compete for ratings as wall-to-wall entertainment. Can’t you see the difference?”
Well it is time for this war to be fought. They have avoided it far too long.
Now, start being aggressive about it and fact checking them loudly. Yes, I can listen to the opposing views on any given topic. But Fox is a topic in of itself that needs a sound airing.
Finally saying out loud what everyone else has known since 1996.
Fox News professing to be a “credible news org” or a “journalism” entity is like Putin claiming Russia just had an “election”.
Zucker’s statement is true, but I am skeptical that his airing it will do any good. In fact, I suspect it will make things worse.
Pravda couldn’t do a better job than FUX News does in advancing Russian ideology.
The problem of Fox News is not that it is “state-run”, the problem is that Fox News is now RUNNING THE STATE. Jeebus Christ Zucker, where do you think that Trump buffoon who you were constantly promoting in 2016 gets all his “information” from?
Nice. Hannity and Tucker will be throwing down tonight. Grab the popcorn.

This needs to be repeated over and over again and by other high profile media players. It shouldn’t have taken this long. State news is antithetical to the US constitution and FoxNews is one of the most corrosive forces in our society. Keep calling them out for what they are - a State run propaganda machine. Not a news channel!

Oh, by the way Jeff, MSNBC has been calling Fox News “Trump TV” for more than a year now. So better late than never for CNN.
Statements like this, true as they are, can actually harden loyalty to Fox.
No one wants to confess to being scammed.
