Iām not buying this one. Thereās way too many Hispanics n AZ that are not being polled by this poll. Trump loses AZ I say.
I could survive Drumpf winning Arizona as long as Grampy Cryptkeeper McCain lost.
A very acceptable trade-off to meā¦
I donāt know anyone who thought AZ was an easy win for the Dās. The fact that HO is only up by 5 points and she hasnāt even put serious effort there (and eccch CNN says she will), she can make him play defense in a state where he should be cruising. Just by hinting thatās sheās contesting it makes him spend money he doesnāt have, time he canāt afford, and staffers he hasnāt hired yet.
For a State that typically votes Republican, this is way too close for comfort.
I hope youāre right. However you slice it, heās not doing that well ā he should be cruising in the upper 60s in AZ, but heās not. Iām with you in that there likely are many Latinos either being missed or brand newly registered to vote just so as to take part in this yearās election. HO has not only mobilized some of the more zealous bigots to his rallies, heās also mobilized many people to walk to the other side of the aisle ā many are first-time voters.
HO and his compadres believe that they can insult us and we will take their insults and not do anything. People I know who work in citizenship drives and registration tell me that the number of new citizens has spiked to numbers never seen before. All because of HO and the fringe right.
Battleground? Am I missing something? This shit is done if weāre seeing close numbers here.
Yay!! Frick, Iām happy to hear that! I was rather blown away at the recent Roanoke College poll on VA (my home state) ā I knew Hillary had a good chance of maintaining a small to comfy lead, but I wasnāt aware of how much HO has done to mobilize many people in these parts. Albemarle County (Charlottesville) has seen a decent uptick in Hispanics settling in the area. Makes very good sense since we have some of the best colleges and hospitals as well as a lot of tech companies here. We also have a very large African-American population ā¦ and we all vote. Me, Iām a gay white dude and Iām noticing the beginnings of an actual out gay community ā a new development for this small city in Central Virginia. I am super glad Virginiaās been trending bluer each year.
Upper 60ās? Weāre a red state, but weāre not that red. Romney got about 54% in 2012.
The GOP, if they donāt change their ways, is bound to become a regional Party exclusively for white, Christian and heterosexual folks in some areas in the South. And it is slowly happening.
The GOP cannot win the West Coast (since 1994 thanks to Pete Wilson and Prop. 187) and East Coast because of the diversity there.
Letās not shrug off that āvery importantā weapon which has been tagged by Kellyanne Conway as the "Undercover Trump Voter" but she canāt talk about it cos itās so hush hush secretive.
Undercover Trump Voter is a term revealed by Kellyanne Conway to Matt Frei during the Channel 4 documentary President Trump: Can He Really Win?

Kinda like a Secret Agent Man?
This is why, by far, HRC is the best choice for POTUS for the next eight years. Bi-partisanshipā¦
Clinton, Ryan team up on anti-poverty plan
Then, thereās this.
Trump gnaws at shorter leash
The Republican nominee strays from the teleprompter as he makes a passionate case for his candidacy.
When he finally chews through, itās gonna be fāing epicā¦
Thanks. Sorry about that, my mistake. Iām actually a bit surprised Romney did that poorly. Thanks for the info. I need to adjust my thinking on AZ.
I was in CA during that fight. Pete Wilson showed himself to be much more socially conservative and bigoted than people had realized. I never voted for the man even during his senate race. He reminds me of a California version of GWBush except better able to get across his education (or maybe he just showed up for his classes).
And finally, I really, really miss this man and his intelligence. I would vote for a Martin Sheen / Jon Stewart ticket any dayā¦

Jon Stewart Predicted Donald Trump: āThe First Openly Asshole Presidentā
Long before anyone in the media was taking Donald Trumpās presidential campaign seriously, Jon Stewart predicted his entire electoral strategy.
Absolutely. Ironic when Meg Whitman was running for Governor and trying to reach out to the Latino community while having Pete Wilson as her advisor.
As perceptive as Jon Stewart is, another guy was onto the same general point almost a century ago:
āThe Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heartās desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.ā āH.L. Mencken, July 26, 1920, The Baltimore Sun
Although I suppose you can make the argument that a moron isnāt necessarily the same thing as an asshole, Trump meets the qualifications for both very easily.
