I just watched part of a Sanders rally on MSNBC. It was powerful stuff. He called The Walton Family the biggest welfare queens in history, (paraphrase) because they donāt pay their employees enough, and most of them have be on some kind of government assistance to survive,powerful stuff.
MSNBC has shown almost every Trump rally in full. This is the first time I have seen even a part of a Sanders rally,and it was much more interesting

Letās see. Bernie arrived in Iowa down by 50 points. Why was that? The guy was in Congress for a hundred years and yet no one knew who he was. You would think Congress was a witness protection program. In all of that time he never achieved a major accomplishment. Then he shows up in Iowa promising to lead a revolution to convince the Repugs to give up their conservative beliefs. Does he have a path to that end, well not so much? So Bernie proved you can get people to vote you you if you promise the world.

Maybe Iām reading it wrong, but it sounded like he was totally joking on Bernie in a fun way, and actually complimenting the fact that at his age and despite his appearance, Sanders managed to slay the youth vote, take on the Clintons, and he only lost by a hair. I donāt see it as any different than saying in 2008 that the āskinny, big earred, guy with the funny nameā managed to beat the Clintons. Itās meant to be a ribbing.
Of course, and Iāll bet Van Jones will be the first to make fun his old ass when he gets to be that age.
