And of course the penalties for that are… nothing.
Who knew there were rules at a clown debate? Next they’ll claim there are actual moderators.
Personally, I think a sternly worded letter is in order.
CNN: Donald Trump Broke The Rules Of Fox News’ GOP Debate
“I’m Donald Trump and I approve this advertisement.”
UK polling station…
I think Jerry Springer should host the next debate…
and include wives, ex-wives, mistresses, complainants etc
There were RULES at that debate?
No, worse than nothing. If Trump breaks the rules, then instead of FOX enforcing the rules, they just let everybody break the rules.
It’s like kindergarten soccer, with kids running in all directions, forgetting what they’re supposed to be doing and indulgent parents laughing it off.
Thunderdome has no rules. It’s only two men enter, one man leaves.
I keep thinking of John Kasich as Jerry Springer. You can stand there for hours pretending to be the only sane man in the room, but sooner or later, the crazy rubs off on you, too, John! Sooner or later, your continuing presence in this shitshow marks you as a full participant! I’d feel bad for the guy if I didn’t know his record.
Who the f**k cares if Trump broke the debate rules? That’s like a guy who comes into a restaurant with a gun and takes the clientele hostage, and the manager warns him to leave because it’s a jacket and tie establishment and he’s wearing a T-shirt.
Rules are for employees and other lessor sorts.
Fox has lost control of Frankenstein’s monster, in more ways than one.
This whole “we don’t need no stinking rules” things seems to be a common Trump feature. He’s a reality-disrupting, rule-breaking kinda guy.
For example: “As commander-in-chief, I’ll order troops to commit war crimes … or not … unless I do. Psych!”
Well of course Trump broke the rules. It’s his shtick.
On a more general note, I think this particular rule is a stupid one. Presidents have advisers around them all the time. If you want to get a look into how a candidate would govern, you should see them in situations more like they would encounter during their presidency. I’d like to see a candidate’s ability to assemble and use a team than their ability to regurgitate memorized talking points.
Donald Trump Broke The Rules
Oh… Perish the thought —
I understand that years ago Benito Mussolini did the same thing! Outrageous!
donald trump’s rule #1. rules! what rules? rules are for sissies.
I really wish TPM would do a story on the absolute shitshow that is KY’s Republican Presidential Caucus. Republicans have screwed this thing up in just about every way imaginable. It was put together so badly and with so little money that it exactly fits every stereotype you’ve ever heard about KY*.
except nobody slept with their sister*.
as far as we know*.
***the KY Republican Party’s Executive Director isn’t answering his phone or responding to media inquires soooo…
