Today, a true Democrat, a leader in the best traditions of the Democratic Party, has won an important Democratic primary in a landslide. Happiness is the color blue!

Why all the suspense?

No surprises here. It should be all over for the Democrats by March 15 easily.

As I said in another thread, I don’t think anyone will be surprised if Clinton wins big in SC.

It will be interesting to see the spread and exit poll breakdowns after it all shakes out.

It’s been over for a while now. The only question has been how long will it take Hillary to numerically lock it up.

After Trailer Tuesday, a lot of the drama should be gone from both primaries.

Is it just me or is the TPM site in crash/molasses mode?

Page errors, super slow load times, etc.

Final RCP polling average for South Carolina had Hillary ahead by 27.5 points. Exit poll demographics, and perhaps even more than that some of the other exit poll findings (including many more people saying they wanted to continue current policies, as opposed to adopt more liberal policies) suggest she should do at least that well.

“Glad” to hear it, as I thought it was just me.

I don’t think Clinton will get the RCP average. I think she might pull out a 20-25 point win but I also think Sanders will do slightly better than the polling averages suggest as well.

TPM: Please! If I am going to fork over my disability money to be a Prime, make the damn pages work correctly, please! Today has been one of the worst days I’ve ever had downloading/uploading, whichever your pages. One thing I noted that helped drag everything was the little tv video on the right, the one with Larry King – it turned automatically everytime – annoying. Seriously, I really enjoy being here and getting some of my political news here. But we need to have pages that don’t take forever to upload … and then get an error message. It will go for weeks and not happen, but it’s happened again starting a few days ago. Today has been horrible. Thank you~!

Maybe – but with exit polls showing something like 60% of voters being African-American, and about 80% of those voting for Hillary, that seems like a recipe for a blow-out.

For what it’s worth, Nate Silver’s 538 (weighted) polling-only average showed Hillary up 32 points, and his “polling-plus” forecast predicted her winning by 38 points!

Growing trumpterror among the Midwest’s vast herds of ripe for plucking cloth coaters warming to the idea of sticking it to the menfolk…

Yes indeed it is - I get a 503 no server available constantly

Yeah I thought these results were just all kinds of awesome.

Nate Silver had her winning by an average of 38%. He’s usually pretty close with his predictions.

Sanders, however, had a few notable endorsements from members of the African-American community, and particularly from figures in the Black Lives Matter movement.

Interesting that while at least a few prominent members of BLM supported Sander’s, the vast majority of rank and file African-Americans supported Hillary.

This may be more of a problem for BLM than Hillary going forward. After all, they’re not going to run to Trump, are they?
