Ms. Sneed, the readers are capable, given context, to determine whether her tone was more “measured” than some of her rivals. It’s also true that, given she’s running against Trump and Cruz, one would be greatly surprised if her tone were not more measured than theirs.

This type of terrorist attack needs a decisive response: let’s hold another Benghazi committee and after that vote to repeal the Affordable Care act for the 67th time and just for laughs go after Planned Parenthood again. Leadership!

You have your choice, Mr. and Mrs. America: Torture, carpet bombing, hatred and enmity against most of the peoples of the world and many of the residents of our country. Or you can be smart and vote for Clinton. The choice is yours (and so is the future of our planet).

Well, as far as I can tell, she has been against torture since 2007 or so, though she has stated that she was against prosecuting torturers if they were just “people who were doing what they were told to do.”
But honestly, I am not here to start any sort of brouhaha.

Hillary’s statements sounded like a potential future president – stand with our allies, not give in to fear and hatred, not let the terrorists undermine out democratic values, etc.
Trump’s statements sounded like a potential future dictator – close the borders, exclude refugees and immigrants based on religion and nationality, enthusiastically embrace torture, etc.

No, make them watch any of Shrub’s speeches where he wrecked the English language while failing to protect or lead the country and while all but destroying the economy. And destroying the economy was exactly what the terrorists wanted to happen. ISIS would not be around were it not for Shrub in the first place. History, don’t you know.

It’s this kind of sensible rhetoric that could make me actually vote for her, despite my misgivings with her wall street cronyism.
It’s interesting that Apple, at least indirectly, was woven into the discussion of terrorism.
I wonder as tech companies strive to make their products completely impervious to the release of its contents, if there won’t be some blowback from average citizens as these tragic acts occur.
Many people want it all. A system completely unhackable yet guaranteed protection from law enforcement.
