Discussion: Clinton Leads By Just One Point In National Tracking Poll

I do believe that Clinton has a problem with overconfidence. Maybe this poll will wipe that smirk off her face. Sorry, but someone had to say it. She doesn’t help herself with her condescension.

Trump: From my doctor tells me, Hillary will be bedridden in few days and probably die before this election. This is all moot at this point. I want her to live to see her humiliation.

The state of the status of women in the United States has been confirmed to me. I am profoundly sorry–speaking for the other gender–for the unfairness of it all.

I am from one of the more chauvinistic cultures in this hemisphere…and I have never looked at Hill as anything other than a competent woman. Maybe the idea that she is “condescending” WILL doom her…doom her in a land where a monster like Trump can be seen as an alternative…a land in which her confidence (which in a male would be celebrated**) is seen as “condescending”

DIOS MIO!!

** Barack Obama, after the first debate in 2012–a debate in which all the cable talking heads crowed that Romney won–calmly said to his supporters, “I got this.” I guess HE would be called “condescending” too. Or maybe an uppity n-word.

We don’t vote nationally. Just stop it! www.electoral-vote.com = reality check!

No one is overconfident. And to insult Hillary like you did sucks.

I have an opinion. I’m not insulting her.
She works very hard, but she does give off overconfidence and disdain at times.
The “basket of deplorables” comment was an example.
I happen to think she is a very well qualified candidate, who might be great for the country, yet who happens to be a terrible politician with very little charisma, and with terrible instincts. I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Of course I want her to beat Trump.

Are you a Trump supporter?

Apparently you didn’t see the Trump: at the beginning of the statement - ajay was channeling HO.

At 538 they show the dailies of this, meaning the day–by-day moving average, not just a single snapshot 1-week run. For a few days, about the time of Hillary’s 9/11 video, the moving average actually showed Trump leading. So the 1-point lead actually shows the shift back in Clinton’s direction after a few bad polling days.

Nothing to celebrate, but good to keep in perspective. Polls fluctuate.

I believe a significant part of the problem is a news media that has set the bar so low for Trump that all he has to do for them to consider him equal to Clinton is to count from 1 to 10 without screwing up.

Well nevermind then. :grinning: I’m late to the game this morning and playing catchup.

A better way to look at polls is to take an average across many. At RCP they have 8 polls listed for trump ve Clinton

Clinton by 2 points nationally.

I’ll give you a perfect example. Andrea Greenspan and company are talking about the Colin Powell emails. They’re somehow trying to equate some rather mild annoyance with Clinton, criticism that wasn’t even leveled at Clinton but her people, with the absolute skewering of Donald Trump. It’s maddening.

You should never say anything negative or even realistic about Hillary on this site. The commenters here are true believers. They have waited a lifetime for a woman President. For them this is a corination not an election.

I would be hard pressed to name a more useless individual in the media than Andrea Mitchell.
