Of course! Change the subject! What else can the DNC do?
This should be the real subject of the story. Why, because if you read the coverage (I read what NYT has to say), there is no evidence that DNC staffers actually DID anything to help Hillary or harm Bernie. Sure, they made snide remarksâhardly surprising coming from the party establishment about an anti-establishment candidateâbut did they DO anything to put a thumb on the scale? If so, I havenât seen it.
Are you a Republican or something? Can you not follow both aspects of the story at once?
They removed DWSâŚand will move on. What do you want them to do?
Give the nomination to Sanders. Thatâs what they want. Canât accept defeat.
Itâs kind of laughableâŚhe didnât winâŚand it wasnât because people who worked for the democrats made some snide remarks - it was because people didnât vote for him.
We know Russia prefers Trump; Trump praised his hero, Putin; and now the email release just before the DNC convention. Putin/Trump team at work?
Where is the disaffected Bernie Bros headquarters?
Iâd like to send them a couple of tons of smelling salts, so they can wake the F up.
THE RUSSIAN BEAR IS BACK!!! YIKES!!!
Would someone please tell Mrs. Clinton weâre in the 21st century.
And, if you read the article in the New York Times, the Russian Bear has its fingerprints all over this.
Thanks maximus but weâre up and having popcorn for breakfast. Care to join us. Itâs not too late.
âThey removed DWSâŚand will move on. What do you want them to do?â
And promoted her to co-chair of their 50 Stae Stragety Committee - or whatever theyâre still trying to figure out what to call it. No Harm No Foul.
This is the essence of the âClinton Problemâ!
Nothing wrong with Russia interfering in the US election, for you?
Might want to get the same message to Putin.
Yes I agree but itâs not just about the Russian Bear âinterferingâ with our election process, itâs about the DNC, DWS and HRC 'interfering" in our democratic process.
The real story is Trumpâs ties with Russian oligarch close to Putin and perhaps with Putin himself, as Josh so brilliantly exposed in his editorâs piece a couple of days ago. Trump is unable to borrow from U.S. banks to finance his business interests (because he is such a deadbeat they wonât lend to him) and is about $650 million in debt. He has become more and more dependent on Russian sources of financing. Itâs unlikely to be a coincidence that Paul Manafort is also close to Russian oligarchs. Given the background, it is not surprising that Russians hacked into the DNC database to help Trump. Oh, and check out the change that the Trumpites obtained in the platform re Ukraine. Itâs the only thing they gave a damn about in the platform.
And what was the tangible interference?
From what I read, they did nothing.
Iâm amazed that you can blow off foreign interference so blithely.
If correct, these allegations are close to a constitutional crisis.
Letâs seeâŚ
On the one hand:
The DNC âmockedâ Sanders by calling his campagin amateurish and ill-fated in May/june (I thought we wanted our politicians to tell the truth) and one person floated the Atheist angle and got shot down and the DNC actually did remain neutral in the actual prosecution of the primary regardless of the constant smears, lawsuits, and attacks from the Sanders campaignâŚ
On the other hand:
We have a foreign power that used to be our biggest enemy, headed by basically a dictator, nakedly trying to influence our election to help elect the candidate who has said shit that this dictator would like to see happen! And in those emails is also the Social Security and Credit card numbers of US Citizens⌠Oh and letâs not forget what a horrible fuck-stick that particular candidate is and how bad he would be for our nation, regardless of the whole âties to Russian Dictatorsâ!
NoâŚYeah, youâre right the important story and biggest threat to our democracy is the fact that the DNC wasnât lineing up to suck Sandersâs cock.
Agreed, but as seems ever, the theme of the story is now locked in on the basis on which Trump is tweeting, the ârigged system.â And since e-mails are e-mails, this automatically links to the State Department private server matters, and off we go. The dust devils are characterized as whirlwinds and then as tornadoes, all from the merest breeze. And hurricane Donald puffs along unabated. Itâs going to be a long, long winter.
