Plain language describing the situation as it is and proposing to do something about it. Gotta like that.

Sigh…

Someone owes Orange Foolius an apology…

Such a double standard. Nobody cared when Clinton pardoned Mark Rich. /snark

New York just doesn’t care for Donald Trump. I wonder if he’ll take the hint and haunt Mar-a-Lago after his Presidency, if he’s able to avoid a long prison sentence that is.

“Trump announced earlier Thursday that he would pardon conservative troll Dinesh D’Souza…”

Upvoted for truth in journalism.

Anyone know the likelihood this passes? Seems like a no-brainer, but you never know.

Well there’s always New Jersey.

I said before November '16, that if Hillary won, nothing would change, since the Republican Congress and propaganda factory would roll on unabated, blocking her every move, but that if Trump won, the Democratic Party, perhaps even the whole of liberalism would be revitalized.

I am now amending that pious hope to include revivalism of common sense, common humanity, and common decency as well.

But, I wax redundant.

Frankly, Trump’s pardons seem to be an act of a desperate person who is trying to look powerful and important, instead of weak and impotent.

Nah, we don’t like him either…

I have no doubt D’Souza has committed other crimes, lets hope those get expedited and wrap up 1 day after Trump is removed from office. Also, D’Souza’s name should always be preceded by “convicted felon” to ensure people remember his crimes, even if another criminal tried to erase them from history.

There’s the world in which laws determine how things are done, and then there’s trumpworld.

I think the NY legislature is Republican (by a very slim margin), so who knows … I’m sure others here do.

Yes indeed. And this is also why Newt Gingrich’s name ought to be always preceded with “disgraced former Speaker.”

I do have to give D’Souza some credit. If I had a face like that, I wouldn’t pose for any photos.

I think you’re right, and that changes very quickly downstate. to D dominance.

That creates a dilemma. I wonder if that Republican majority is likely to change after November? If the Democrats take over - voila! law passed.

It would be great blowback if this pardon were the impetus for changing the law.

I’m just glad Osama Bin Laden is dead, otherwise…with this guy, you really never know.

Though he could very well pardon a dead man to spite Obama.
