Well, we can hope so, and certainly Chuckles getting active in this is not a good sign for how Beebs is doing.
But parliamentary elections with electoral support so widely distributed as in Israel means the election results are really just the backdrop against which the negotiations take place to form a ruling coalition, so, we’ll see.
As Israelis prepared to head to the polls in a tightly contested national election, embattled Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday got one last bit of help from septuagenarian tough guy Chuck Norris.
Way to capture the youth vote, Bibi. I’m sure they all loved Norris in … in …
Fuck, I’m almost 50 years old, and even I can’t remember anything Norris was in.
This does seem awfully desperate, the last act of a fledgling candidate throwing everything at the wall in hopes of something sticking. I hope Israeli voters are insulted by these idiotic stunts, smell the desperation from the right, and vote accordingly.
I understand that he was a US citizen at one time and has supposedly never proven that he renounced it. If he did not, he could run for office here (other than President).
Tough to figure out who looks like a bigger fool here, Norris, or the republicans in Congress for getting absolutely played by Bibi for letting him give a campaign speech. Both are fools and neither seems to have the foreign policy chops to figure out they’re tools to a foreign country.
Meri-I’m sure you’re kidding, but George Soros is a US citizen who has lived in the US since 1956. Norris is not an Israeli citizen or even Jewish (I don’t think…).
If I was an Israeli I would be offended by this stunt. Obviously Norris should but out if Israel’s affairs but that’s not what would bother me the most. Using hyped up love of Israel as a cheap shot at Obama is what I’d resent. Where was his dedication to Israel before it could be used as an anti-Obama tool?
