Discussion for article #246293
Every surface in his apartment is gilded or mirrored. He splashes his name on anything he owns, in gilt. He erects gaudy buildings (and likes his women to be the same - tall and tacky). You expect him to show some dignity? Heâs a short fingered vulgarian.
Er, Chris, heâs running in the Republican primary. Being immature, belligerent and hateful is a plus not a minus. If he gets the nomination then he will have to act more presidential, but not now, itâs too soon.
As long as their base consists of petulant, immature brats, thereâs no reason for Trump to change.
If it ainât broke, whatâs there to fix?
âSo, when are you going start?â Wallace countered.
âWell, pretty soon,â Trump said.
This is who is going to Make Our Country Great Again
He will and he will. And then Wallace will forget he ever asked that question, and weâll all be agahst at how the media seems to have forgotten all the things Trump said. Dems will produce video of said things, and the media will run that actual video against a Trump spokesman saying some version of âDonât believe your lying eyesâ, as a controversy.
Like a slacker teen who still hasnât mowed the lawn. Along with many other firsts for this very remarkable candidate, heâs one of the most immature adults youâve ever seen anywhere, much less running for the most demanding job on earth.
Fox News host Chris Wallace had a tough question for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at the top of his interview on Sunday.
âDo you think you need to tone it down, do you think, as you become the frontrunner for the nomination, to act more presidential?â Wallace asked Trump on âFox News Sunday.â
thatâs not really a tough question, but more so a question of âwhere are your manners?â
âWell, probably I do,â Trump replied, before talking about his admiration for former President Abraham Lincoln.
âSo, when are you going start?â Wallace countered.
âWell, pretty soon,â Trump said.
uh-huh
Trump has previously said that he has used his rhetoric to stand out from the other candidates in the race.
and its working right now, so why changeâŚ
âWell, pretty soon.â Oh, come on! Trump is a salesman. Born to a poor man he would be selling used cars. He is what he is, and heâll tell us whatever he thinks we want to hear to make a deal. After the deal is made, there is no warranty.
Ah⌠when will monkeyâs fly out of my butt?
Say what you will about Trump, but he became leader of the pack by acting the way he does. While Chris Wallaceâs question seems to make sense, it reflects his being stuck in a set of assumptions that Trump is proving to be less relevant than in the past â dramatically less relevant, which is why weâre all shocked about Trumpâs ascension.
So, Trump has risen to the top of the Republican pile,
not by offering any serious, thought-out policies or plans,
but only by screaming in an empty but entertaining reality-show fashionâŚ
giving primary voters obnoxious sizzle, but zero steak.
And now he essentially admits that
âif the party is foolish enough to hand the nomination to a dummy like himâ
folks wonât even get as much of the loud but empty sizzle!
Let the âbuyerâs remorseâ begin!!!
When does Donald peg the time of previous greatness? Pre-Brown vs Board of Education? Pre-Eisenhower? Pre-Johnson? Pre-Nixon? Pre-Ford? Pre-Carter? Pre-Reagan? Pre-GHWBush? Pre-Clinton? Pre-W? Pre-Obama?
Which era lionized vulgarian language? Didnât his parents know that he needed to learn manners?
Its going to get a little rough from here on out for the Donald,in MSM someone is looking to be the one that finally busts Trump.
did wallace actually ask any questions of substance⌠like what are the policy details trump proposes â instead of the idiotic âmake america great againâ.
Exactly. Trump has been acting like Trump. He canât help himself. Bragging, false claims about his past, making stuff up, avoiding substantive discussion of issues, late night/early morning tweetsâthese are all Trump.
Manners, like taxes, are for the âlittle peopleâ.
I didnât see the transcript. What was Chris Wallaceâs response when Trump asked when Fox News reporters and anchors will start covering news like journalists?
ottnott nailed it.
