Spinning door keeps on spinning, proud Tweety keeps on taking…
Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’ on the Potomac.

Ha!

P.S. With any luck she won’t be regaling us with maudlin tales of “The Gipper” and Tip O’Neil. If she does, I’ll start a whisper campaign that accuses her of being a member of Christine O’Donnell’s coven.

Kathleen was always way too smart to be sitting behind the a desk reading news copy. She’ll be a great Rep.

He’s the Chris I ignore, and it’s Hayes I pay attention to sometimes. Didn’t know she was a Marriott exec, that excellent chain owned by those fine Mormons the Marriotts.

Yes, she will. And I would be happy to see a woman take the seat since Mikulski’s Senate seat is likely to go to Van Hollen.

I remember her well on WJLA. I knew who she was well before I knew her husband. I like her.

That said,I don’t know what qualifies her for the job. She has been in the corporate world for a long time now. I’m not willing to automatically support her. Doesn’t really matter, I’m in Hoyer’s district anyway.

Hope she doesn’t drool.

He refers to her as “His Queen”. He must realize he married up. They are proof positive there is a lid for every pot

So early on this snowy Thursday morning. LOL!!

I must remember that line.

I like to remind Maryland people who admire their pols that Nancy Pelosi is from Baltimore, and her father was the mayor way back when. It must be something in the water

At least Sally Quinn “This is our town!” and the other Villagers will concur.

Once, not too long ago, to get into the upper echelons of Marriot you had to be a Mormon. I can only hope she’s saner than that.

Mrs. Matthews has kind of a (Saavik-era) Kirstie Alley thing going on.

Been in Maryland for 40 years and have nearly always felt well represented. Cardin, Mikulski, Sarbanes, Hoyer, O’Malley, etc… the list goes on. Of course Pelosi’s dad was a Congressman and Mayor of Baltimore. Her brother was Mayor as well. I’d like to think our politics are sensible because MD is smack between the North and the South and we lay claim to nearly all of the Chesapeake Bay, which just brings one to a peaceful place.

I went from disliking Chris Matthews to liking him after watching an interview with Kathleen. I figured if someone as smart and charming as her could be happily married to him, he must be alright.

He definitely married up. I knew about her on WJLA before I even knew about Tweety.

I would imagine Hillary’s team which will include Sen. Barbara Mikulski, are very busy getting Rep. Chris Van Hollen to back down and stay in the house, as Sen. Barbara Mikulski’ long time aide is Martin O’Malley’s mother, Barbara O’Malley and he will run for the Senate seat instead of against Hillary

I try to give props to Pelosi whenever possible for two reasons: She represents my district in San Francisco and lately she’s become the Assistant Speaker but with smarts.

Chris Matthews says some dumbass stuff, for sure. But every now and then he gets really riled up and gives a progressive, righteous stem-winder that Keith Olbermann only wishes he could match.
