Knowing not to pressure law enforcement to put out statements to support your political goals should be something you already know, not something you need to learn.
Here is a model learning curve. In this administration, the slope of the rise after “chaos” will be negligible.
Remember the law firm that unsurprisingly found Christie was innocent of any wrongdoing in Bridgegate?
Republicans know all about getting their ducks in order to avoid prosecution.
“I can guarantee this, I don’t think the chief of staff will ever have that kind of conversation with the FBI, with FBI personnel, again,” he said.
So Christie is sticking a shiv into Priebus, basically calling him out for unethical and possibly illegal behavior. As a former US Attorney, Christie must know how terrible this is.
And you don’t get a learning curve at the highest levels, no Reince and repeat. You just can’t make a mistake of this magnitude at the highest levels of government.
I believe that Rene Thom’s “catastrophe theory” might be a good model for the learning curve of the Gold House.
You want an alternate fact:
I’m sure Christie would say the same thing if this instead involved Hillary as President or involved Obama during his terms…Christie is totally objective and not towing the party line over the best interest of America and its Democracy.
The NYC braggadocio, the misogyny, the glam lifestyle, the sexual self-aggrandizement, the conspicuous consumption, the vocal money-love, the word-association flow…Trump is really a just a 90s rapper whose inability to rhyme and orange hue left him off-label.
Christie is his posse.
Lamest of the lame excuses. If it were a Democrat, do you really think that former prosecutor Christy would be so forgiving? Me neither.
I’ve had lots of new jobs, and you always get people running up and asking you for stuff you have no idea about, and it’s stressful and so forth. But I’ve managed never to commit any felonies in the process. Actually most of us manage not to do that.
“These people have never been in government before.”
Sean Spicer, the Chief of Staff, has been in DC for decades, you annoying sack of whale blubber.
Chris Christie Says White House Contact With FBI Was Result Of ‘Learning Curve’
Learning to obstruct justice from the White House the way Trump used to do when he was working in real estate.
Chaffetz: Ha… That explains everything. Trump administration is slow learner when it comes to government. It might take them 8 years or more to pick up the basics.
Then the solution would be to select candidates for whom the " learning curve" was not nearly insurmountable. Apparently, though, Trump’s cluelessness was considered his outstanding qualification by his supporters.
Caption for his wife in the background and that look on her face?
“You want to fuck AGAIN?”
Well, if he is a rapper, I know what color diamonds should go on his flashy bracelet…
If Priebus was wrong to pressure the FBI, which said ‘no’ to the request, then he must have been wrong to pressure Pompeo, Burr, and Nunes, all of whom said ‘yes.’ The ‘innocent mistake’ flavor of Christie’s argument is undercut by the actual facts.
I thought ignorance of the law is no excuse. If they didn’t know they were in not only in legal but ethical breach then they are simply unqualified for the job.
