I love the smell of desperation in the morning.
how do these guys keep from peeing on their feet if they canāt hold a position longer than 20 seconds?
Christie got into politics because gun controlā¦
sCruz concedes heās changed his position on immigrationā¦
Boobio doesnāt even want his Senate job because its āboringā

"What I learned in those seven years was that we were spending much too much time talking about gun laws against law-abiding citizens and not nearly enough time talking about enforcing the gun laws strongly against criminals,ā he added.
What is a gun law against law-abiding citizens? Laws are laws - no? Break law ā law-abiding, right?
Isnāt enforcing the laws strongly against criminals kind of the central part of a prosecutorās job? So is he saying his big take-away from seven years is that he didnāt spend enough time doing his job?

Gun laws against law abiding citizens? What are those? Does he think he can get away with this? We arenāt that fucking stupid. I really hate to use the word ādesperateāā¦its usually too much. But this really is a desperately lame attempt to justify a politically motivated flip flop.
This is simply preposterous. Iād bet a dollar that there is not one single federal prosecutor that would say the problem is that there are not enough guns out there. Itās telling that those folks, like cops, and prosecutors, and ER doctors, the ones who actually deal with the consequences of gun violence, almost universally support reasonable limitations on access to firearms. Implying that his 7 years as a prosecutor lead him to the exact opposite position is a lie.
Edit: I should have said current prosecutors donāt support the idea or more guns, or they certainly donāt while they are in office dealing with actual gun violence. I totally get that craven political cowards like Christie or Noun-Verb 9-11 are totally about more guns now. I simply donāt believe they held that position when working as prosecutors.
Chris Christie + Rudy Giuliani = 2
But thatās just off the top of my head.
Chris Christie + Rudy Giuliani = 3
If you make it easier for everyone to get guns, you make it easier for people who want to commit a crime to get a gun.
By ācriminalā, I assume Christie just means someone who has previously been caught committing a crime. How can that be sufficient. Is he saying he want to make it easier for would be first time offenders to get guns, but after that, it should be much harder?
āAnd quite frankly, if I had the choice now Iād make New Jersey a state where you could have a shall-issue on conceal and carry,ā he said. āNow, our legislature wonāt do that,
Because itās not what the people want. But heād force it on them, the way he vetoed the gestation-crate legislation to pander to Iowa. Contemptible POS.

So is he saying that over the last 7 years he decided that it is better to enforce gun laws after someone gets shot rather than before?

Heās still alive you know. 87 years old now.
Youāre right. I should have said āwhile in officeā.
