This is a really smart and interesting assessment. If you’re a person who doesn’t closely follow politics like we do, what is the image you mostly see of Republicans in Congress? It’s mostly John of Orange with Kevin McCarthy behind or beside him and Cathy McMorris Rogers standing behind him with a sad, disappointed look on her face. Despite Boehner’s orange glow, they all look and sound like seemingly reasonable people. But replace Boehner with someone like Chaffetz who’ll be completely unable to stop himself from bragging about his tea bagging agenda that most of America strongly opposes.

It’s the same basic reasoning behind what should be bipartisan support for killing the filibuster. Sure on the one hand I really wouldn’t like the legislation that would get passed with 51/54 Republican party votes in the Senate but on the other hand the American electorate is blind to what the Republicans would do with legislative authority unless they actually get to pass some bills and force Obama to veto them.

Chaffetz is as clueless and agenda-driven as Kevin McCarthy. Maybe some responsible person in the GOP (if there are any?) should beg John Boehner to stay, or better yet, ask him to give the gavel back to Nancy Pelosi.

Honestly, if George Orwell´s Animal Farm were made into a motion picture, Chaffetz would be perfectly cast as the “Head Pig”, who defended the pig’s right to live in the farmer’s house by explaining to all the other animals that, “Yes, of course all animals are equal, but some animales are more equal than others.” Which is as much as to say that you can dress him up in a gorgeously tailored suit, but he’s still a pig.

Frankly, after Chaffetz got caught in an outright lie during the Planned Parenthood hearing when Ms. Richards pointed out the farce chart depicting that more abortions than mammograms were being done by Planned Parenthood. Which both the way, were indeed created with visualized fake data from an anti-abortion organization. And yet, you want the American People to think that hearing was being conducted to get to the truth? Bullshit! So Chaffetz is no better than McCarthy! Bottom line is a GoP is just a lying ass GoP!
