Takes 65 million votes to win an election DonaldâŚplusâŚthis just in from GallupâŚ
Most political and media commentators have at this point installed Donald Trump as the GOP front-runner on the eve of the first actual voting set to begin on Monday in Iowa. But this narrative tends to obscure the fact that Trump is the most unpopular candidate of either party when the entire U.S. population is taken into account â and that he has a higher unfavorable rating than any nominated candidate from either of the two major parties going back to the 1992 election when we began to track favorability using the current format.
A Twitter Twat
Front page of the conservative Sunday Telegraph today:
âDonald Trump is the Mussolini of America with double the vulgarityâ
Heâs right. This is the modern media which âofficialâ journalists like Dickerson donât like. Like it or not, this is the way the modern world is.
Every time I read a quote from Trump I begin to feel that there might be something to be said for declaring English our official language after all. Then people like Trump & Palin might be forced to learn it. Interviewing Trump must be a truly terrible experience.
Did he ever answer the question?
Trump misses the point of the question. Itâs not whether using Twitter is unbecoming to a potential Presidentâitâs what he has been saying on Twitter. Engaging in âwarsâ by personally insulting anyone who has criticized him, tried to correct his lies or even simply endorsed an opponent, is not only unpresidential, itâs downright immature, petulant and sixth-grade like.
Typical Republican, ask a question, they talk about something else. Finally a reporter is asking a question on the fundamentals and this clown who is as close to âPresidentialâ as ⌠insert your own idea of a buffoon here⌠My own is Jackie Gleason in the Honeymooners⌠takes a holiday on how much he likes the superficial highway of Twitter.
The media is way overdue on nailing this ham in a coffin using his own words and reminding itâs listeners of the real world weight and responsibility of being an American President.
Since it appears that Trump aspires to be a modern day Rufus T. Firefly (without the wit and roguish charm), the answer is a definite yes. Hail, Hail, Fredonia!

If you think this countryâs bad off now,
Just wait 'til I get through with it â Duck Soup
Presidential-schmesidential. The working ideal of the President as a self-controlled adult at a minimum is out of fashion, John. Iâm slowly and reluctantly understanding that for a lot of people, the dream of power involves not only private planes and yachts and mansions and fabulous babes, it also includes acting like a damn spoiled 5-year-old all the time because you can.
Dumpsters history says it alll.
Ahem⌠Excuse me. This is the country that voted in GWB twice. Trump is reflecting the GOP base perfectly. The real question is, will he be able to effectively pull it back by the general.
Are these Twitter battles PresidentialâŚI donât know, ask the various world Presidents who have gotten into twitter and social media battles with people like John OliverâŚ
Once.
The Supreme Court elected him the first time.
Never, actually. The second time the votes in Ohio were flipped.
Heâs right. This is the modern media which âofficialâ journalists like Dickerson donât like. Like it or not, this is the way the modern world is.
The question wasnât about media, modern or otherwise. It was about how he has been behaving, in all media. But, then both you and Trump knew that, and both of you chose to deflect.
Trump puts me in the mind of a virus that has taken over you TV.
"By Vangie Beal
A computer virus is a program or piece of code
that is loaded onto your computer without your knowledge and runs
against your wishes. Viruses can also replicate themselves. All computer viruses are man-made. A simple virus that can make a copy
of itself over and over again is relatively easy to produce. Even such a
simple virus is dangerous because it will quickly use all available memory and bring the system to a halt. An even more dangerous type of virus is one capable of transmitting itself across networks and bypassing security systems.
Since 1987, when a virus infected ARPANET, a large network used by the Defense Department and many universities, many antivirus programs have become available. These programs periodically check your computer system for the best-known types of viruses.
Some people distinguish between general viruses and worms. A worm is a special type of virus that can replicate itself and use memory, but cannot attach itself to other programs."
Anti Virus = VOTE !!!
Twitter wars are better than real wars.
How about asking if all the Republican war mongering is âpresidential?â
