Thanks Captain Obvious!
The lipstick on the pig, officially revealed.
This comes under the heading “Working as Designed.” I eagerly await attacks from the right, telling us how biased the CBO is. How long before Trump and his cronies just dissolve it?
Well, somebody’s gotta pay for it.
Let’s just get it out of the way:
Ya think?
The budget enables us to all do what we do best: High earners are good at obtaining money, and low earners are good at making sacrifices. We all have to do our part to Make America Great Again!
SURPRISE!
Not
I shall now withdraw to my fainting couch. Will someone quickly retrieve mah smelling salts and clutching pearls? I simply can’t seem to catch mah brayuth.
Republicans have also argued that the CBO’s massive deficit estimates are inaccurate, because they don’t take into account all of the economic growth they claim would result from slashing corporate taxes.
Um, please show your work.
But what about DYNAMIC SCOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!!!
Our plan will be Viagara for the economy. A million blossoms will bloom, manna will fall from heaven and Ann Coulter
will become huggable.
Plus…to make sure this happens, we are going to name Sam Brownback as our Dynamic Czar.
A soul transplant and all the bubble wrap in the world won’t make her huggable.
see my note on Dynamic Scoring. EVERY time they use this piece of crap excuse it is based totally on “trust us.” Whatever gap their plan produces between income and outgo, they simply plug in an economic growth percentage that closes it up and then (see Paul Ryan for best examples) look directly into the camera and lie to you…flat out lie to you.
Trouble is, they can;t even agree on the lies…the claims on how much the “average middle class taxpayer” will benefit from big corporate tax cuts ranges from $1,200 to $4,000, and then of course there is that most convincing argument of all…OUR tax plan will let you do your taxes on a postcard.
Boy that sure sells me. Nothing I want more than to have a simpler method to screw myself.
CBO: Senate GOP Tax Bill Favors High Earners Over Low Income Taxpayers
Feature not bug.
Really? I didn’t see that coming…
Don’t worry–the Republicans are going to put in a new provision allowing taxpayers to deduct all the children they’ve molested. That should make it more equitable.
Yertle appears particularly reptilian today. He must have eaten his worms early, he seems so spry.
Now hear this: All CBO hands on deck! Stand by to receive tweets!
