Discussion: Carter Page Now Says Sanctions ‘May Have Come Up’ During Russia Trip (VIDEO)

And guilty people need competent representation just like the innocent—we don’t make a distinction that way or shouldn’t. I’m talking about the people who are huge pains in the ass and don’t comply with your professional advice. Sometimes there’s not enough money in the world to compensate you for the aggravation they can cause.

[/quote]I totally agree…and yet somehow Trump keeps finding lawyers to represent him no matter how ridiculous he acts or how obvious his guilt…so apparently some lawyers don’t have the same scruples that you do.

I imagine that over the years many lawyers and contractors came to the same conclusion about doing business with PP.

It’s certainly a rational explanation for the way he’s carrying on. You know all these guys are freaking out on the inside, whether they show it or not.

Page is really hedging bigly. He knows there’s a transcript of what he said and he knows he absolutely mentioned easing sanctions if Trump won. But, he’s following the same tired playbook we’ve seen before:

  1. Do something illegal/unethical, thinking you’ll get away with it
  2. Evidence starts to suggest you did it
  3. Deny that anything wrong was done
  4. More evidence surfaces that implicates you
  5. Suddenly, things MIGHT be a bit different than you first claimed

It’s clear that Stephanopoulos was getting Page to state flatly that nothing was done/said relating to sanctions, etc. Page was absolutely adamant that he did nothing wrong. A plea deal is probably already being worked out by Page’s lawyer.

Until everyone involved is questioned under oath there’s nothing these people say that I take at face value.

It is fun to watch the outrage these dupes start with. So offended that the Obama/Clinton cabal have wrongly accused them. 24 hours later the drip, drip starts. Well, maybe they did mention something, well maybe they did meet with so and so. It is comical. Carter Page is such a hapless mess he is the the perfect front man for the Trump/Russia extravaganza.

Or a bathtub…

“Oh yeah, we were talking about Deflategate, and if the Patriots might be sanctioned, and then somehow we got on the subject of sanctions in general…”

“I don’t recall every single word I ever said,” Page said
on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “Something may have come up in a
conversation. I have no recollection, and there’s nothing specifically
that I would have done that would have given people that impression.”

What a coincidence! THESE guys said the same thing!

nasty asian flu been going around?

Mr. Page, your days of accepting food/drinks/pills/money/handshakes/love/trust/sympathy from anyone have officially ended.

Enjoy a lifetime of paranoia and misery.

he’s auditioning for the bill o’reilly opening.

may the nuts be with you.

I’ve never seen a guy appearing so often on TV to provide what can charitably be called an early Twinkie defense. It looks more like just a plain Dumbass defense. Clearly, he’s suffering from diminished capacity of one sort or another.
