I heard that lawyers often don’t fire guilty clients because it might keep future guilty people from hiring them. A guilty person values loyalty.

It’s a bad trait in anyone. But granted, more often seen in young women.

It occurs to me that maybe he’s already talked to the FBI and offered some sort of limited hangout deal for immunity, and they knew he was holding back the good stuff so they told him to stop wasting their time. Now he thinks this fan-dance will lure them back to the table. But it won’t.

I think there might honestly be something to that. The more he stays in front of the camera and raises his profile, the harder it is to kill him without it being extremely big news. It would also draw a tremendous amount of unwanted speculation and attention that would only serve to further the suspicions of the IC and the American people. He’s probably the safest person of all right now exactly because he’s been such an attention whore.

Well, it’s definitely Who’s on First. There’s a reference to a second target–currently unnamed–for a Trump Tower warrant so it’s a game of chicken, and somebody’s gonna lose. Maybe the second target is Manafort, who is probably being saved in the hope he will lead directly to the President Pro Tem.

WEll, this makes sense because the repeated appearances are Dance of Seven veils–clearly the FBI hasn’t advertised that they are or aren’'t interested. Maybe when Page finds that out it’ll be too late.

I just have a feeling that whacking U.S. citizens willy-nilly would cause more talk and investigation than even Putin is up for. He knows we don’t care that much as a society (although the IC takes notice I’m sure) when some furriner is shot or poisoned or thrown off a balcony in some town we’ve never even been to as tourists. But if a series of Trump people start going “poof” it’s going to make the country go crazy in ways Putin can’t control and might not like. Just a thought.

Absolutely. Before retirement, I was a builder, and learned very quickly that there were some clients that were better avoided, even if their money was good.
On the other hand, lawyers are rarely hired to defend the truly innocent.

Agreed. I just think if you’re stupid and evil enough to have gotten caught up in this mess your best course of action, other than begging the FBI for immunity, is to do everything in your power to make yourself the face of this scandal so that killing you or hurting your family just isn’t an option.
