Carson comes across like someone with a learning disability or mental health issue. If you told someone who doesn’t know his background that his IQ is 80, that would be perfectly believable, based on his public statements and demeanor. It’s mystifying.

I know the presidential bug makes people say all kinds of stupid things, but it ought to be out of his system by now. What’s old Ben thinking that Trump is going to make him co-president? Surgeon General?

The most he can aspire is to be the butt of Trump jokes, which really is a sad ending for a guy that had a decent reputation as surgeon.

I went to the video to see whether this error was Ben Carson’s or Kristin Salaky’s, and, sheesh, Carson slurs his words so much I can’t really tell whether Salaky’s transcription is accurate.

Carson: This was valid from Trump’s part, I could very well be a child molester. You have to give him some credit. I had already tried to kill my mother with a knife, so it’s not really far-fetched. I also think conservatives in general have issues with molestation (either they are the victim or perpetrator).
