Right, so we shouldnāt help them because some Americans, coughrepublicanscough, are assholes who will resent helping them and that might alienated the refugees. So the solution is to leave them to suffer and die, because not being assholes is to much work.

So, if Carson is correct that concentration/isolation and resentment help create the conditions for radicalization, then, once again, ISIS, Al Qaeda and the rest must be absolutely delighted with the GOPās idiotic, counterproductive, kneejerk reactions.

Technically, he spoke the truthā¦although he immediately reaches the wrong conclusion from it and wants to abuse that truth by using it as a justification for doing the wrong thingā¦sort of like accepting the fact that Metamucil makes him poop, but then arriving at the conclusion that if he never drinks any again, heāll never have to poop again, so we should ban Metamucil.
Anyhoo, he should be bludgeoned with this admission mercilessly until he can keep his eyes open for the duration of an entire interview.

I believe this can be described as the American South.
I also think the direct refugees have a perspective on what constitutes shitty conditions and think of the general level of animus and bigotry in the above referenced region to be pretty low-keyā¦ no one is shooting them on a daily basis, police nominally want to help all the represented communities, they get to vote after naturalizing, etc. The radicalization, if any, happens when the next generation gets marinated from birth in the hypocrisy of a āfree countryā that continues to allow or even cultivate bigotry, class divides, and political polemicsā¦ which makes some start to look like the dominant group in the above reference region, save skin color and sometimes religion.

Jesus: Iām afraid you misunderstand Dr. Carson entirely. Even as heās worked diligently to foment hatred of these unfortunate people, heās always loved them in the most Christian way imaginable. Why subject these innocent refugees to the anger Americans feel toward ISIS, when we can simply leave them and their children in closer proximity to ISIS?

No way we should accept refugees of our own making because boorish bigoted and paranoid right wing American simpletons will treat them badly and theyāll resent it.
Likewise, we never should have admitted women into the military because they get raped. And LGBT people get picked on. And African Americans are beat up and discriminated against.
And of course we need to defund Planned Parenthood because of the violence being perpetrated against them. Shut 'em down!
In other words, we always must restrain ourselves from doing the right thing because far too many Americans just plain suck.
Get bent, you Christianist knucklehead. How about if we toss some of your precious supporters into prison if they act badly, you know, like we did the Planned Parenthood terrorist?

Now heās earned any criticism, but the ācatchā thatās in play now is that he just legitimized Jim Crow. Whether or not it was intentional is to be decided later.

Because, you know, look at all the radicalized Irish, Italian, German, Polish, Dutch, etc. etc. etc., communities we already have to deal with, amirite? Should have never brought any of them here.
