Discussion for article #240405
Repeating the same old bullshit.
Iâm sorry. Neurosurgeon or no Neurosurgeon, It takes a willful idiot to conflate the Black Lives Matter movement with anti-abortion public policy. It certainly adds nothing genuinely constructive to the main topic at hand.
Dr Carson added âI also think theyâre uppity.â
This is a great article debunking the myths he keeps putting out there.
for a movement so utterly convinced they possess The Truthâ˘, they sure do seem to feel the need to lie a lot about it.
One might argue the he was more âarticulateâ today, but he still talks nonsense and platitudes. We would all agree that respect is important, but what does he propose to guarantee respect in the judicial system? What does he propose to assure respect and fairness in the public school system? What does he propose that guarantees respect for women in the workplace? Nothing.
Something seems off about this guy when he speaks, and I donât even mean the nonsense he spews forth, I mean literally the way he speaks. I know he was a neurosurgeon - as Donald Trump says, he was an okay doctor - but something just doesnât seem right. I donât know if heâs on meds now or bumped his head at some point, but thereâs a little Forrest Gump hiding just below the surface of Carson.
Aside from his bizarre political views and Trumpâs disparaging comments, I understand that he is a damn good surgeon.
Holy crap, cops are performing abortions now?
Balderdash. Dr. Carson does not give a damn about dead fetuses, black or otherwise. Think for a minute. If 50% of five year olds were dying, Dr. Carson and the entire medical establishment would be hard at work seeking to prevent this. 50% of early fetuses and fertilized eggs die, often without the woman ever realizing she was pregnant. The medical community knows that this happens but they totally ignore it. Because these are not children. Because it is believed that the particular combination of DNA is not one which can successfully instruct the womanâs body in constructing a fetus which could become a child which could survive. Dr. Carson has done zero research aimed a preserving the lives of these early fetuses.
Show me one morgue shot of an unwanted child who was horribly abusedâŚ
and then let me know your proposals of cutting funds for PlannedParenthood, public schools, food programs.
Protect the Fetus
But to hell with the little bastards after theyâre born.
Baton included, didnât you hear?
Carson: âWe need to deemphasize race and we need to emphasize respect.â
And heâs addressing the GOP base?
Under President Obama?
For the last 8 years?
(If you were listening carefully, you could actually hear my eyes roll.)
I agree and am actually glad to know others have the same impression of Dr. Carson (thought it was just me).
including those that are eradicated by abortion
According to your beliefs, they are now in the sweet, eternal embrace of jayzus, but it would be better if they were born. And, when born, it would be better they be born into slavery than to be born into a world where Obamacare provides health insurance for them.
You are Messed Up.
He should worry less about abortion and more about black children living in poverty - something HIS party couldnât care less about.
Oh, and in case you wondered, the good doctor is an adherent of the odious prosperity theology, so I imagine he thinks that those kids living in poverty donât love jesus enough.
I heard 'em!
I feel sure there will be some kind of âeye-rollâ characteristic evolutionarilyâŚThey will know us by enhanced orbicularis oculiâŚ
True polymaths are very rare. Itâs a mistake to think that people accomplished in a particular field are also highly competent in others and positively weird ideas can be held by geniuses. Take Newton:
Newton left behind a remarkable ten million words of writing, most of it not scientific but religious, historical and alchemical. This material was so private that he shared it with almost no one during his lifetime. Many of the papers contained unorthodox â and, to his contemporaries, deeply heretical â views on scripture. Roughly a million words were devoted to alchemical investigations that fell outside the realm of science even in Newtonâs day. âScientificâ and mathematical writings make up just a third of the total.
or Alfred Russell Wallace, Darwinâs contemporary and co-developer of the theory of evolution by natural selection:
Perhaps most controversial was his belief in spiritualism. In fact, other scientists tried to investigate spiritualism, but he argued that the proper tools to investigate it hadnât yet been invented. Just as nobody could perceive the microorganisms in a drop of water before the microscope, he reckoned, no one of his day could investigate spirits.
His belief in spiritualism may have been influenced by the untimely death of his eldest child; like many others, Wallace hoped to communicate with his lost loved one through a medium. His stance on spirits may have been at least partly responsible for his difference with Darwin on the origin of the human mind.

'Course, neither Newton, nor Wallace ever ran for Prime Minister.
Carson was questioned at length about how he approaches the question of race and fairness when it comes to policing.
âWe need to deemphasize race and we need to emphasize respect,â he said.
Iâm SURE his wisdom was greatly appreciated. At length.
