Discussion: Buzzfeed: Feds Considered 2nd Alleged Victim In Charging Hastert

My 90 year old aunt, who lives in New Orleans, was more critical of the dress than of Vitter’s behavior.

I gather AtomicFern meant he paid his prostitutes on the spot. Not hush money afterwards.

Sometimes I get several likes but only one shows up in the notification list. I “liked” your response. Let me know if you weren’t notified.

Thanks.

For me, I always find I get notice of the first “like”, especially if they are prime members. After that, not so much, but that could be my settings.

I probably over “like”, but, tough, if I like what people post I give it a heart. Sometimes I even give their detractor down line a like, too, because they have a good point, too.

You are right. But he is going to be charged with some sort of financial crime charge.

Also the irony that this individual who possibly committed inappropriate acts with minors, was the one running the Republican charge against Bill Clinton for sexual transgression. He got his position after Newt Gingrich was dumping his wife who had cancer and nailing the help. He should have been more forthcoming with his Party and the American people.

You are right David Livingstone was the explorer, Bob was the Speaker.

It is criminal behavior but the statute of limitations has long run out.

entering priesthood? more like entering the full closet of the republican party, i do not know why they are against gays, when it just about seems the whole party is gay…

BuzzFeed’s anonymous source told the outlet that U.S. Attorney Zachary Fardon considered additional charges against Hastert in regards to an “Individual B,” which ultimately were not pursued. No further charges are expected to be filed, the source told BuzzFeed.

This is interesting. Since ths statute of limitations has assuredly run out on any sexual assault crimes, what were the Feds looking into regarding a “person B?” It can only be that Hastert was paying off “Person B,” too. So that leaves me with two questions: how long has Hastert been paying for his “misconduct” and to how many men? Is he getting preferential treatment by the feds letting this other thing slide?

I mean unless, like Foley, he was assaulting interns during his time in the House?

I know several gay conservatives and they are ruthless businessmen. I’m cautious around them because I’ve seen them rape people (financially) without giving so much as a shit. Life’s a big game to them and they want to die with the most toys.

Not because gay but because conservative.

Well, if ole’ Denny was paying out millions in hush money, “persons A&B” will have been depositing that cash in THEIR accounts - also against the IRS bank deposit regs, if not reported. So …

Vitter “paid for his” because he was a paying customer at a whorehouse is what he means.

Of course this bit of “Family Values” is not only morally bankrupt, but is also illegal, but they reelect him every time in Louisiana! He’s planning on running for Governor soon!

It seems that the relationship is not at issue, but the criminality of the pay-off. I’ve seen no evidence or even contention that the illicit relationship didn’t exist.
