Discussion: Bush Praises MI Governor For 'Taking The Lead Now' In Flint Water Crisis

you can bet it will cost more than $100 a day

Two things:

  1. Power always protects power, especially when it’s of the same political party.

  2. Bush and other Repubs have to support him, lest the entire privatization agenda be compromised. What’s a few poisoned minorities compared to the profits made by passing off government services to the private sector?

As if we needed any additional evidence that Jeb! hasn’t a clue.

He promoted the EFM to run Detroit Public School System as their new EFM
so no, he didn’t fire anyone that matters to him personally. He has another guy running a private lobby-shop and political fund-raising operation right out of the office of the Governor as well, moved from his PAC to the State payroll
Many of the creeps he has working for him have come out of his 501©4 (political) NERD fund, which he has since ended and transformed into a new 501©4 called “Moving Michigan Forward”.

All of these people are unelected political hires, able to make decisions at the highest level of state government, with no one able to make them accountable, or show transparency regarding their involvement in state gov’t for their decisions.

I suspect that’s how how he will now pay for this new idea to hire two private PR firms
with political contributions by donors out of his tax-exempt 501©4 to save his sorry ass.

Sure, Jeb. Here’s a bit of advice for you to take back to the private sector after the primaries. Firing people for a problem that YOU (Snyder) caused, is NOT taking responsibility. In fact, its the exact opposite.

Oh JEB!, why are you so stupid?

What voting segment does Jeb think he is appealing to? The incompetent mercenaries or the amoral frauds? Who will he pander to next? How about defending/admiring Sarah Palin’s parenting skills or Rush Limbaugh’s equanimity?

Did he give another shout out, ala Dubya, to Brownie’ for the “
heckova’ job” he did during Katrina?

After much puzzlement, I think I have come to understand the Bush campaign.

He is trying to lose the general election without bothering to first win the primary.

“I admire Rick Snyder for stepping up right now,” Bush said

Bush: I admire that Ricky has been able to deflect blame to others, thus preserving what is most important, another .01% tax cut.

Koch?

It’s worse than I thought:

And it is alleged that the Governor’s office made the call.

Till this decision was overriden by higher ups
said to include the Governor’s office.

“Bush said that he thought the governor has “taken the lead now.”” After Snyder took the lead from Flint’s water, he had to put it somewhere.

First I’ve seen of it used as a noun. I like it.

And once again Jeb“ seeks to demonstrate what a dim bulb he really is. Why was he ever considered the “smart” one?

He comes across as a generic “establishment” Republican - and even $100 million in packaging and sales can’t make him a commodity that will move off the shelf. The guy has not a spark of anything - originality, insight, charisma, etc., etc.

Holy shit. That’s a BFD. Back in that brief window between the demise of the political machines and the rise of the plutocracy, when there was such a thing as accountability, there would have been criminal investigations that led to indictments based on that alone.

One of the firms hired by Snyder is a Republican affiliated PR outfit for the most part. I believe its the same Mercury Public Affairs that is headed now by the same person who is currently running Chris Christie’s presidential campaign, Michael DuHaime, who was also Christie’s chief political strategist. He helped run interference for Christie on the bridge lane closures. This firm and this guy get around apparently
They make a living shielding politicians involved in coverups, dirty-dealings and malfeasance by being hired as essentially a Cleaner, or to put it another way, a cleanup operation to deflect blame everywhere but at the top of the food chain.

Plus, its more accurate to say Mercury is a crisis management firm, that doesn’t have any offices in Michigan, is being paid with secret undisclosed money not privy to public disclosure laws, and was set up with Snyder’s chief of staff, whose wife is a senior VP that works for Mercury PA. So its really just more fucking cronyism.

No, no. Snyder didn’t allow them to be poisened, despite the repetition of this lie in the MSM. Snyder caused them to be poisoned.
