They only hate taxes on their rich corporate sponsors. For gop/bags, all others can go screw!
For those that elected him and to those that had better things to do than vote…elections do have consequences!!

I think it was good that KS reelected Brownback. If a Democrat had won he would have been left holding the bag and would have been blamed by Republicans. This way Brownback/Republicans are stuck trying to right the ship they sunk. Let Republicans wallow in the mess they have created.
You got that right!!!
My sympathy is better described as HAW HAW!
You’re just not clapping hard enough. Clap harder, damn you! It’s like you want Tink to die.
My question is:
Here in Arizona these two thing combine to nearly $13 billion dollars (not a typo) that the state does NOT collect. We had a deficit this year of $1.2 billion. Our total state budget is some $9 billion. We 'could" have easily balanced our budget but our new governor, in the tradition of Mr Brownback, decided to damage education, county budgets, and services for indigent people and kids to balance the state budget
Brownback: We’re going to show the nation that tax cuts work for all Kansans and will result in rapid economic growth.
Result: Economy crashes. Jobs growth grinds to a halt. Credit rating tanks and is downgraded.
Kansas Republicans: “Obama’s fault…because…uhhh…uhhhh…uhhhhh…BENGHAZEEEEEEE’? …UHHH”
Fck KKKansas…you elected that shitstain twice knowing what a creepy ass thief he was and now your kids and your kids kids will pay…too fcking bad!
Then he can close down low-performing municipalities and sell off their prime real estate and museum collections.
I feel great sympathy for those who opposed Brownback and the GOP corporate whores who have ravaged Kansas. But for those who supported him and his catastrophic ‘experiment’, whether out of simple greed or abject ignorance, you’re getting exactly what you voted for and deserve.
Aetna needs to separate this increase in accountings and label it ‘GOP Health Tax’.
That is PRECISELY what trickle down is! The 99% get a Golden Shower!
Some say we dodged a bullet when Obama/Biden were elected in 2008 instead of McCain/She Who Shall Not be Named. Republicans are, in fact, still blaming Obama even though he has made considerable effort to right the ship, in spite of the former’s obstruction which has limited the success and the extent of the recovery. I often wonder what would have happened if Obama had lost. Yes, we would probably have had an even more conservative Supreme Court. But I could envision McCain and you know who, as well as their GOP fellow travelers overseeing a prodigious universal fuck-up. In the aftermath, would 2010 and 2012 consequently have turned into a California-style complete repudiation of the Republican Party and subsequent implementation of broad based democratic reforms under a super-majority Democratic Congress and democratic President? We’ll never know, and we can’t replay the movie under different initial conditions, but it’s interesting to speculate on paths not taken. Even small, insignificant decisions, at the time, can result in a far different current world. Perhaps Kansas is giving us a small taste of what would have happened nationally under a McCain [or Romney] presidency.
But…but…I thought steep tax cuts were going to cause a massive migration of businesses and employees to Kansas and consequently their tax revenues would GROW?! The residents of Kansas had so much faith it would happen they re-elected Brownback. I think they should give him a third term, then they can all stew in the soup of bankruptcy together. Hell, give him a fourth term and they can all live like it’s 1931 again. Have fun!!!
I agree, make them right the ship. And every Democrat in the state legislature should vote Present or abstain on the clean up. Let them own the mess they’ve created.
Funny, I can’t envision anything other than that!
You may be right though. I’ve often said that it will need to be much worse before Americans finally start seeing the light. Given recent election results (and continued existence of conservatives) I still believe that’s true. It’s sad that it will come to that, but of course we get the government that’s chosen by the majority of voters…
Brownback fucked up the budget long ago to the benefit of the wealthy and to the cost of Average Joe and the poor, was re-elected, and is now trying to undo his fuck up with yet another fuck up.
This is who the people in Kansas voted for and this is what they get. I only feel sorry for the Dems who didn’t vote for these crooks but now have to suffer more.
Walker/Brownback 2016!!! The Koch’s two favorite stooges. The Citizens are United on this ticket!
OMG! WTF??? The GOP in this state is beyond delusional! It’s downright dangerous. They’ve enginered he Crown Jewel of Clusterfucks with this state’s finances. There will never be a public building named for the disengenuis Sam Brownback. His name will be remembered and cursed in infamy for generations to come.
Elections have consequences!
When people use this phrase it’s usually not in this sense.
Still true though…
