I first developed my man-crush on Brian Williams when he would appear on Conan’s show back in the 90s. The man’s got a wicked sense of humor. He & Rachel together on analysis nights rock my world.

Saw the exchange last night and was glad to see Williams call him out. Halperin, like Scarborough in the beginning (but not now), has bent over frontwards to accommodate Trump’s rise and handicap the horse race to keep the orange man viable in his own mind. Never have liked him and can’t wait till his show is out of the cable lineup, so I don’t have to turn the channel when it comes on.

Halperin’s head has been planted so firmly up Trump’s ass, he has (when able to get Chuck Todd’s and Joe Scarborough’s heads out of the way) seen the underside of that thing on Trump’s head.

I really enjoy the show when Alex is on, even when Nicolle Wallace is on it’s good. But I have a non-partisan crush on her. If I turn it on and see Halperin’s mug, tv goes off and I’ll clean my pool or give myself a root canal.
I do have to admit that I like The Circus. Just because of its documentary-like feel. And because it’s not all Halperin.

Old media can gather the spilled apples back into the basket Hillary was shamed into discarding (possibly through the secret doings of the rightwing ex-Marine cell within the FBI) and reap the multi-platform profit while returning sanity without massive reregulation.
Halperin’s creepy in the way most self-promoting TV hucksters (nudge, nudge man in photo) become.

Here’s what I can ever comprehend: How a presumably educated, politically savvy person like Halperin and his sidekick could possibly wish for a Trump presidency. If Hillary were a Trump type and Trump a Hillary type, I would vote GOP and not Dem as I usually do.
Everything, but everything that could be bad or dangerous in a presidential candidate is found in Trump. Good God! What could they be thinking?

I was between jobs for a few months in '92 and I temped with a guy who was one of the young conservatives you started meeting then and he told me vehemently, “Clinton’s unelectable! He’s unelectable!” Halperin reminds me of that guy. I got a new job and never saw him again but would like to, go back over old times and such.

I think the same way about Kellyanne… she is amazing at the smiling deception and deflection she can spin on any Trump topic. She is absolutely not tied to truth or ethics of any kind. Trump just stabbed somebody? Her response “Well I’m not sure, I’d say he more cut than stabbed. Just like Hillary wants to cut away our gun rights. It says in her emails that she…”.
I admire her to the same degree that I can admire some of Hitler’s staff that engineered such a vast war machine. Her ninja word salad techniques are being used for a truly deplorable cause. And in the end, she is a deplorable person when coupled the cause of Trump.

Hah! Screw Halperin. I don’t know how he got into the business of know-nothing-punditry but it certainly wasn’t by being insightful or correct. “Trump will win California!” I believe he said. No one should ever let him forget he said it.
