Discussion for article #231786
āHouse Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said Thursday that heās the most āanti-establishment speaker weāve ever had.āā
John (head in handsā¦ shakes head in disbelief) you sure as heck do not look like a hippy to me.
The most alcoholic based on this stupid assertion.
Remember, he mows his own Ohio grass in front of cameras at election timeā¦
Iām the most anti-establishment speaker weāve ever hadā¦man.
Boehner slurred as he took a long toke on a big fat doobie.
That might explain why Congress has a 16 percent approval rating.
If Anti-establishment = Anti-coherence, then yes, he is.
Fight the Power, John! Stick it to The Man!
And drawled āDuuuuuuuuddde, thatās some heavy shit, manāā¦maybe some āLabradorā strainā¦ As in, my Labrador ate my stash and I had to follow him around all day to wait for him to shit it out.
Iām in disbelief at this assertion that Boehner is āanti-establishmentā. Consider please, if you will:
1 heās a republican
2. he has serve in the House since 1990
Taken together those two facts do not (cannot) equal being āanti-establishmentā.
It is to laugh.
Something was slipped into his bourbon.
Best tanned teasquat in the House.
If by āestablishmentā he means āall those other than big business and its allies,ā he may have a point there.
War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.
Where have I heard this before?
And once again, did any reporter bother to grasp the obvious and point out to him that he has been in the Congress since 1990? No, of course notā¦wouldnāt want to upset their GOP bud.
how about least productive speaker? how about biggest chickenshit, cowering from the tea party dolts? how about the drinker of the most merlot in congressional history? get real john. get sober.
Antiestablishmentarianism seeks to destroy the power structure from within,
As Iām sure you know, journalismā¦the kind practiced by Edward R. Murrow or Walter Cronkite is dead and gone. Nobody these days thinks to follow up on the obvious fail.
Everyone here is clearly misunderestimating him!
What he is saying is that he does not deal with K Street lobbyists, listen to special interests or do the bidding of fringe elements in his party. He follows his heart and always does what is right for the country, regardless of the political fallout. You know, like voting 3000+ times to repeal the ACA, shutting down the govāt for no discernible reason and refusing to give in to Grumpy Cat mania.
He is, in a word, a Patriot. We should judge him by his record of accomplishment. Look at how much the past few Congresses have achieved! They named multiple bridges and even a few post offices! That, my friends, is freedom and liberty wrapped up in a Bald Eagle frittata!
Also, he voted to repeal Glass-Steagall to enrich the banking establishment.
He was a conduit of campaign checks from the tobacco establishment.
He voted in favor of the two deficit-exploding Bush tax cuts in support of the Bush political oligarch establishment.
He voted for the Iraq War in support of the Military Industrial Complex establishment.
Yep, just a flowers-in-my-hair anti-establishment maverick.
Only when the Establishment is Democratic, Tipsy John.
