Discussion: Boehner: I Haven't Talked To Ted Cruz Since He Got Elected

Discussion for article #228300

Boehner can’t control Senator Alberta Rafael. He can control the baggers in the House. Pity he won’t.

Boehner still hasn’t met his boss, Speaker Cruz?

Boener did drink that killer merlot that Cruz sent over though because wine/whine they can agree on.

Hmm. I thought his name was Senator Carnival Cruz.

All joking aside, it does speak volumes about the fractures in the GOP. How could Boehner not have met a man who is routinely holding meetings to lead them against leadership, and of course, himself? It boggles the mind.

“I don’t talk to him, I just follow orders from a guy who has no power over me. Gimme that bottle.”

And it’s a pretty vivid way to put as much distance as possible between them and basically say he loathes the guy. I think Boehner’s despicable but I’ll give him credit for knowing, and in effect saying, that Cruz is worse.

My apologies to MattinPa for a remark I made which could have been interpreted as chiding people I portrayed as “distracted” and “misinformed”.

And actually, the apologies should go to a (Millennial) generation which has never been exposed to real journalism, since the decision the MSM made years ago to become a profit-generating entity. In addition, there has never, in the world’s history, been an entity like FOX, capable of generating non-stop 24/7 misinformation, hate, inuendo, libel and slander. This is also the first generation to have been totally exposed to grandparents and parents who have (urged by FOX) abdicated their duty to provide wisdom and guidence to succeeding generations. What kind of wisdom is denying Climate Change, to be against healthcare, to favour student-loan profiteering, to be against infrastructure repair?

The mistake I made was in assuming that I knew what was in the heads of people 22 or 23 years old in terms of their assessments and information.

To be the generation charged with combatting their (older and more politically vigorous) brethren who have been throroughly brainwashed by FOX is not something I would wish on anyone. How does one out-energize a cohort which spends most of its waking hours watching FOX?

Goebbels never had a weapon like FOX. Radio versus pastel studios and well-groomed shills?

And now, in this pitiable political atmosphere, appear John Boehner and Ted Cruz, who, together, have done absolutely nothing beneficial for the United States. There is no accurate treatment of their thievery in the MSM, no consequence and, I suspect, both will be around doing the same thing until the present Millennials are no longer young.

JB is not allowed to ‘talk’ to Cruz—

he just listens and obeys.

I read your post after I posted mine----

great minds…

Bullshit.

I was going to raise the question if these comments will get the usual suspects in the beltway media to ask “Why can’t Boehner lead,” but then I remembered that no one has ever actually expected leadership out of Boehner, so it’s kind of a moot point.

Liar, liar, pants on fire!

maybe there meeting…in a closet where they can snuggle up together and share their views on how to screw the American people …shhhhhh it just our secret cruzzy and I love that new cologne bonerz whats it called …bourbon #7

They don’t have to talk, they worship the same cult of evil.

Boehner doesn’t speak Mexinadian.

No need to, Jackie boy, he’s calling your shots.

Boehner has certain known routines. Perhaps Cruz plans these meetings at times Boehner is either at the bar or on the golf course.

It also a great big red indicator that Cruz won’t be throwing his hat into the ring. 18 months in D.C. and his relationship with party leadership is so bad that he hasn’t even bet the Speaker of the House? No way he has the political clout to make a serious run.
