Dr. Blasey Ford is playing the Republicans like the chumps they are.

If Grassley refuses the FBI investigation, the Republicans lose.

If Grassley permits the FBI investigation, the Republicans lose.

The winner? Dr. Ford and democracy.

I’ve got feeling that’s not the only fraudulent letter that’s popped up in this. I bet the 65 women Kavanaugh supporters are not really quite that lofty number.

Can a Judge who may have committed sexual assault be a dispassionate jurist overseeing anything involving sexual assault, rape, or abortion?

And why wouldn’t the people overseeing that want to run it to ground?

You’d think even the Orrin Hatches of the world would realize that overturning Roe v. Wade (Which would be the best thing in a couple of generations for the Democrats to happen) based on the votes of two sexual assaulters would be suspect.

Well, it looks like someone has learned from what happened to Anita Hill.

My prediction: the Republicans ignore Blasey’s request, do a sham hearing with Kavanaugh and then confirm him. Collins and Flake will express their questions and concerns and vote with the rest of the GOP. Democratic voters are even more enraged and mobilized and re-take the Senate in November.

She is getting death threats.
If Sanders is receiving protection shouldn’t Blasey Ford also receive protection?

Wow. The GOP sleaze factor is up by another order of magnitude. This should, however, give pause… oh wait, I guess we’re talking about Republicans…

When this story first broke I was concerned that it was a GOP dirty trick - put Feinstein in a bad place. If she goes public, accuse her of ratf***ing Kavanaugh, if she doesn’t, a Republican leaks it and she gets attacked for "not standing up for women. When Blasey-Ford came forward, I felt like everything would be okay, but now I feel it slipping away again. Not helping is seeing HRC on the Maddow show, the last person who should be talking about this IMO. I feel queasy again.

My prediction, Kavanaugh doesn’t make it to the weekend before having to withdraw.

This is the tip of the iceberg, Now there are allegations that letters supporting him were fraudulent.

Then there is the gambling.

And his time working for a sexual predator judge.

Every news cycle is going to be a nightmare for him, and the Republicans on the committee.

Wow I was just going to post how refreshing it is to hear an adult speaking in calm and deliberate tone about important matters.

I especially like the bringing up of the comments from Hatch …

Kinda like reaching right out and jabbing him in the eye ----

Just what you do to an attacker ----

“Blasey Ford”? Since the referenced letter from her attorney uses the term “Dr. Ford” frequently, I’d suggest using the same.

And if the above does happen, all D’s on the judiciary need to boycott the session and hold a press conference simultaneously outlining why it’s a sham, and pointing out that there is precedent for an FBI investigation (see Hill, Anita).

(Oh, and yes, then take the Senate in November as you suggest)

Well… democracy anyway. Dr Ford hasn’t won anything but our admiration of her bravery. That and $5 get you a Starbucks coffee.

Like Anita Hill before her, she has and will continue to endure the disgusting, degrading treatment for having the gall to speak out.

A real and functioning media would call out these assholes for trying to put a victim on the spot with the weight of the world’s attention trying to break her providing little prep time and resources.

The question shouldn’t be whether Kavanaugh should be seated on the SC, but whether he should be removed from his current Appeals court judgeship…
