They should just not attend.
Sheesh! If Trump were actually elected president, God forbid, not just his statements, but every single syllable out of his mouth would have to be fact-checked.
Then why meet with him?
Probably to voice concerns with his rhetoric. I can understand that motive, but it’s foolish for them not to assume that Trump would try to twist such a meeting to match his agenda.
Just wait until he gets them in that private meeting and calls in his goons; they’ll endorse him. (Hey, it’s Trump; that really could be the plan!)
I do not understand why the pastors would involve themselves with this psychopath in any way. Surely they must know they’ll be exploited for propaganda purposes.
This whole topic leaves me speechless. Why they would even entertain that notion is beyond belief.
pulpitting courtjesters who suffer from intellectual and spiritual myopia
Sounds pretty Trumpity to me…Anyway, isn’t a Trumpish denial a grudging admission?
If not his goons, he will call in his lawyers and sue all of them for not endorsing him.
It’s ego, pure and simple. These pastors are entirely too full of themselves, have been believing their own foolish hype for so long that they actually believe they can have some meaningful discussion with him. Fools!
Exactly.
You would think that since Trump lied about them…right at the get go…those Pastors would tell him to shove off. He is only going to use them.
Javier Palomarez was more silly, going on the air to say how much of a “gentleman” Trump was in person.
There must be something about climbing into a suit and then becoming overawed by one’s sense of importance and power.
And Carson goes to Jordan to meet refugees to say “Wow, you look like happy campers!” (riff on Dan Quayle)
This 'll be the next group Trump whines about.
The pastors should say to Trump "Shove off, shit barge, yer loaded!"
Trump has been known for years and years of being an exaggerated liar!
Who is Darrell Scott and why would he endorse?
Far be it from me to impute low motives to men of the cloth, but this wouldn’t be the first time that kind of credibility was for sale. Hell, Donald Sterling got bunches of awards from the LA NAACP, didn’t he?
