Discussion: Black Pastors Meeting With Donald Trump: This Isn't An Endorsement!

And pass up a free trip to NYC with the Donald trying to impress them? Not very pastor-like at all.

Funny…it’s like seemingly everything else in these great United States:

Money.

Somewhere in this is somebody Getting Paid.

The Donald has already written his script and by God, he’s gonna stick to it, no matter what.

Well what are the odds … Politics and Religion and “someone getting paid?”

The only reason they’re backtracking is because they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Being very familiar with black prosperity preachers, this doesn’t surprise me at all. They were bought off in Ohio in 2004.

There was an article long ago about a flamboyant preacher keen on flaunting wealth (and happy with doing it). Weeks later there was commentary in the magazine’s “letters” section. There was one letter which made me chuckle.

The writer told the preacher that there were some surprises coming for him, before and AFTER death.

He owns a 120,000 Megachurch and an AM Radio station so that he can more effectively fleece his flock.

Either TPM has done a terrible job reporting, or the pastors haven’t clearly expressed the purpose of their meeting with Trump.

You know it!

Maybe hell buy them a ‘jesus jet’ for their endorsement.

“Surely they must know they’ll be exploited for propaganda purposes.”

Only Trump can turn an Intervention into an endorsement. “They love me in spite of my addiction to praise.”

Question is who is using who?

True Story:

August 1939…a few prisoners dressed in Polish Army uniforms…“attacking” a German outpost…resulting in the necessity of sending MILLIONS of Wehrmacht troops into Poland (including planes). The only analogy I can give is sending an infantry division to help Barney Fife write a parking ticket.

The level of gullibility required to rationalize the above illustrates the emotional and derp level of the type of people (both Fourth Estate and “voter”) who would believe one syllable which is uttered by Donald Trump.

Sounds more like a riff on Babs “I am not a psychopath!” Bush.

Sounds like Creflo Dollar (his real name!), the only televangelist in America that makes me miss Reverend Ike.

Right, and those “Polish prisoners” were orchestrated from Berlin to “justify” an invasion to a gullible German populace bent on revenge for the First World War.

Then there shouldn’t be a meeting. By even going through with this basic get-together, they are putting themselves in the same role as Booker T Washington (and other pre 1940 civil rights leaders) found themselves in: negotiating from a weak position to a president who seriously believes in that Lego movie song.

Trump wins any ‘back and forward’.

By being associated with this meeting, they are put into the category of guys such as Booker T. Washington who often had suffice with a weak hand against either an apathetic or ambivalent president.

It depends on the ‘framework’

“But,but, but, but, they are ‘men of God’”
