<< Ahem, cough>> he can afford it…
C’mon Bill…don’t be a rube. Seattle has raised you better than that.
Just like John F. Kennedy, but without the brains, the competent advisors, the conscience, and he’s mentally disturbed.
Other than that, he’s just like him.
At least the philandering part.
Former Vice President Al Gore had the same take — How’d that work out?
In other words, things could happen, maybe ok things, hope for the best, we’ll see … oh, and nice apartment, kind of small though.
“…comparing him to President John F. Kennedy…”
Hahahaha…cough…hahahaha…gasp…hahahaha…can’t breathe…hahahaha…call 911…hahahaha…
There is collaboration and there is resistance. No middle ground, I’m afraid. Mr. Gates seems to be leaning to collaboration, which is disappointing.
Oh, cool. An obscenely wealthy, insulated white guy living in a deep blue state says everything will be ok under a Trump administration. I can sleep better now.
Gladder than ever to have only ever owned Apple hardware over the last 30 years. This comes to you from the keyboard of a midrange, relatively new iMac.
Tax cuts he can expect to receive will help also.
There are two kinds of people in America right now–people who understand that Trump has Narcissistic Personality Disorder and understand what that means and fools. Some of the fools are merely self-deluded, some of them are actively stupid, some of them are simply insane themselves, and some of them are just too rich to care.
We’re losing a lot of people because of the Internet
Anyone have a clue what this means?
Well I have to say this morning watching the news before I left for work, I was thinking, there is a chance that if we had decent business folks that weren’t just out trying to enrich themselves, but really had a desires to cut through the political BS and make things as good as they could it might actually be a decent presidency and start of a new upward era. And maybe that could be what Trump might do…yea I know that is hoping against hope and I believe probably going to be 180 from what happens, but hey I can hope…damn it could be so easy for those rich guys, who don’t need any more money for the next 1000 years plus, to do that…why can’t they?
Just curious, how much off shore monies does Gates have that could be repatriated at an absurdly low tax as proposed by Trump?
I can go onto the internet and order stuff online and not have to go into a retail store, or I can find out how to fix my car without paying a mechanic. I think that’s what he’s talking about. Minor in the grand scheme I believe, but maybe some folks think it’s a big deal. Hard to believe Trump does.
“deregulated technological innovation” – what’s that supposed to mean? Allowing industrial espionage? Eliminating patent rights? Even more profit-making from pharmaceutical research (which is many cases is initially funded by the Fed gov’t, i.e., taxpayers)?
Really, I’d like to know whether Bill Gates is the least bit alarmed by Donald Trump’s ability to shake up the stock market, and Trump’s propensity to attack those who disagree with him. Is that last thing what prompted Gates to make nice about Trump to reporters after his meeting with Trump?
People get too close to their monitors and just fall in. I’ve seen it. Sad.
Luck and money don’t, necessarily, grant perspicacity…
Right. He’s just like Kennedy.
Only instead of Camelot, we get Mordor.
But, hey, I guess one fictional kingdom is as good as the next, right?
