This was the speech that we needed. Secretary Clinton, unabridged.
For too long, Secretary Clinton has been maligned and slandered. For fourty-plus minutes we learned the real story of her life from the person who knows her best.
I really liked her before the speech. I like her more after. I know I am not alone in feeling this way.
We just felt it was better to tell you now, rather than waiting until you were old enough to understand.

I saw his hands shaking in the 2012 convention as well. Perhaps not that much, but I remember thinking he got old – and I thought that again tonight listening to his speech – but still as masterful as ever, vintage Bill Clinton. I was just listening to him, every single moment of it, without doing anything else – I was so pulled into it I just couldn’t do anything else. As I posted in another thread (Albright thread), he singlehandedly reintroduced Hillary, “the real one,” to the nation. I laughed, I cried. He did me proud once again to be a Democrat.

I think Donald Trump is not only terrified of Bill. He and the GOP have NOTHING to compare to what we’ve seen these two nights at the Dem convention. He is self-delusional, I know, but some part of him is “sweating bullets” right now.
Expect him to keep talking on and on how his convention was good and positive and hopeful while at the same time trashing ours. That’s the measure of how he really feels about OUR convention.
I agree that he gave a wonderful, honest portrayal of Hillary - many audience members now know her in a way that they didn’t. Did anyone find the description of their early dating relationship a bit awkward? Because it could also remind some folks of the problems in their relationship, I worry that it might bring this back for media attention. I am not judgmental about anyone’s marriage- just curious as to reactions.
