Discussion for article #234170
Someday, in the far, far future, politicians will be hogtied to a public record with unbreakable future string.
Sorry, but not adopting one of the most ubiquitous technological developments of the last generation isn’t something to be proud of.
Oooohhhhh boy, the Big Dog just caused thousands of Republican college interns and Tea Party wingnuts to go scurrying over the Wide World Web to find proof that he has, in fact, sent more than two emails. They’ll want him to testify over the difference between emails, tweets, and texts and how he can so scurrilously not tell the difference between one and the other.
This is a power statement, masked as a humble confession. NOT having to use email is something rare. Only ancient college professors and the very wealthy are in a position to refuse to conform to a convention as widely accepted as email.
There were some people on here yesterday doubting Lindsey Graham when he said he never sent an email. I think people really don’t get how out of touch with technology a lot of very powerful people are. Think of all the things Clinton has done since he has been out of office. Communicated with thousands of people. But only sent two emails. Yes, quite feasible, as is Graham’s assertion. I can’t stand Graham, but I don’t doubt he never sent an email. And neither Clinton nor Graham should be proud of this. But there is nothing “wrong” with it.
As I had said, I run into construction executives all the time who don’t use emails. Just like there was a time when people refused to use the phone, they felt if they could not look at the person, they should not be speaking to them.
Don’t think I want to know who they were sent to.
I thought his problem was he didn’t use either. Well, at least once that I can recall
I like Bill Clinton…but, sure…haha…I believe him…
He and Lesley Graham should get married.
I am surprised, but I could not care less! Bill Clinton probably hasn’t written a hard copy letter either. He probably doesn’t know how to keyboard. I’m sure he has lots of help with his correspondence. My hope is that the GOP spins their wheels looking for evidence that he has sent more than 2 emails.
While they’re at it,maybe they can search for all those deleted emails that Karl Rove got rid of because they showed illegal activity in the Bush Justice Dept.
You know what? Screw it! Let’s just go after the 47 traitors and keep screaming about it!!!
Some of the difference in Graham and Clinton not using email is the first says he’s too thoughtful to use it and the second wrote one to John Glenn, with whom Graham could never communicate…
Fooled him once! Hahaha!
What is this, a thing now, that everybody is a fucking Luddite all of a sudden?
“I just use the computer for porn. Man, there’s a lot of hot women on that thing.”
Another Clinton Derangement Syndrome victim. Did you even read the fucking article?
No doubt, the only point of my post was to point out that lots of people in powerful positions don’t use email.
“Only ancient college professors and the very wealthy are in a position to refuse to conform to a convention as widely accepted as email.”
Or liars.
