Discussion: 'Big Fat Liar': WaPo Reports On White House Staff's Frustration With Kelly

Meanwhile:

Mulvaney says Trump’s parade will cost somewhere between $10-30 million… which would be a whole lot of Blue Apron boxes for all those homeless Vets that were supposed to be helped by this administration… https://www.marketwatch.com/story/trumps-military-parade-could-cost-as-much-as-30-million-mulvaney-says-2018-02-14

VA Secretary Shulkin’s chief of staff altered an email and made false statements to create the pretext for taxpayers covering Shulkin’s wife on a 10-day European trip…

Trump hiring the best and brightest? Or merely hiring those who buy into the white nationalism movement!

To those of us who knew John Kelly growing up in Allston, Mass. and then going to UMass Boston (the only college that accepted him out of highschool), we can’t believe he not only rose to the rank of general in the Marines, we can’t beleve he is now Chief of Staff in the Trump regime.

John Kelly has always been a scum bag and bully…he was a thug and terrible student at Allston High and at UMass Boston. Kelly is a knuckle draggier.

“Big Fat Liar”
People in this decrepit, lawless, insidious, rancid administration actually talk like 5th-grade parochial school students?
When they REALLY get mad, do they call someone a “poo poo butthead”?
Man, if I worked in the Trump White House I’d be using the word “fuck” constantly, and I do that now without even working in the Trump White House.

“We don’t even have a coherent strategy to obfuscate.” is their regret. Not, “We’re dismantling the foundations of democracy that we have spent 30 years making into our brand through expensive propaganda.” It is indeed a sad day when there is no coherent strategy to obfuscate. I’m going to bring this up at our next staff meeting to make sure my workplace has a plan. Start at grassroots level I say.

Don’t forget when he wore a tan suit. I’m surprised his administration survived that.

And he put mustard on a hamburger! Land sakes! I’m amazed the fucking republic survived that one!

I’m sure this has occurred to many but it only just hit me: of course Trump wanted someone blackmailable handling his papers. Because he was the blackmailer. He certainly couldn’t afford to have someone honest and decent seeing what passed to his desk. Being blackmailable is key to access to power in the festering abscess that is the American right wing. We’ve known this at least since Jeff Gannon’s network was exposed.

It doesn’t work as well on the left as people there are generally more honest and open and capable of shame.

Medical data show that Trump is not overweight. He is merely three inches too short.

Still waiting for Ms. Sanders to tell me when it is appropriate to criticize this 4-star general. Are we there yet?

OMG. I genuinely thought that was satire, until I watched the video.

And this?

“According to one New York lawmaker, the president’s tan suit puts our national security at risk.”

Holy crap. Folks at The Onion have to be depressed these days.

I hate that piece of shit Kelly as much as anyone, and I’ve been saying it ever since he was appointed (POS)COS and the media started hailing him as the new conscience of and the new level-headed advisor to Trump. But all of the White House staff who are pointing their fingers at him must be more stupid than we all originally thought they were if they believe that Kelly is any different from Trump himself. John Kelly is the doppelganger of the Trump ethos. There is barely an onion skin’s thickness separating the differences between the two of them.

To paraphrase the late, great Amy Winehouse, in her song “Me and Mr. Jones”:
“What kind of Huckery is this?!”

Maybe if someone is in the military…

To me, he’s just another guy, and one for whom I no longer have any respect.

The Onion has been running on fumes since the Bush administration. Pieces that were published as satire when Bush took office turned out to be documentaries.

I never did like having a bunch of generals in the administration. I never liked Kelly at all and I won’t be sorry to see him go.
