Thanks.
When will dems learn they canāt be nice to everyoneā¦my hope is that by November this Bernie mess will be a thing of the past
Thereās a whole lot of āhahahaha Shillary is going to lose, get used to President Trump, suckersā as if theyāll somehow be able to live in the United States of Bernie while the rest of us perish.
Considering that the vast majority of Sanders supporters are middle- and upper-middle class white people with college degrees, theyāll be insulated from the worst effects of Republican governance. Thatās for the poor brown people to deal with.
I donāt know if this was the same interview I heard from Biden on NPR. He tried very hard to compliment Bernie, but he also said heād known Bernie for 40 years, heās very ācompetitiveā and does not lose graciously. Good to know.
Yeah I hate to agree, but heās running the Crusade of the Angry White Boys.
And I still donāt get what it is they are so damn mad about.
I hope ur right
Nobody likes to lose but that is no excuse for Bernie being ass because heās losing
VP Biden do not taint your otherwise great public service record by shilling for the Clinton campaign. Let the system work. Bernie deserves a fair election system. At some point this continuous venomous rhetoric toward Sanders is going to cause this life long vote do do the only thing I will have left to express my DISTASTE for the processā¦ that is withhold my one and only vote. I held my nose before and voted but not this time.
Then your not paying attention. OR you are determine to be able to say āI voted for the first woman presidentā. Which is it.
I agree. But I donāt think it will make a whit of difference to Bernie who really doesnāt consider himself one of us. He looks in the mirror and sees Braveheart.
And I still donāt get what it is they are so damn mad about.
I believe thereās plenty to be upset about, and a good portion of it involves issues that Sanders addresses, at least in generalities. Initially I was fine with Sanders being in the race, especially if his presence served to nudge Clinton leftward. Whatās asinine about Sanders and a good portion of his supporters is the petulant, pompous, preening arrogance that they alone possess progressive righteousness, and that literally every Democrat is a corrupt monster slavering to eat middle-class white babies, bomb the entire world, and turn pension funds over to Wall Street, and all before lunch.
Itās the same sophomoric attitude of the most obnoxious and comically deluded faux campus radicals of the late '60s and early '70s. And surprise, thatās exactly the mental milieu that Sanders comes out of. Heās incredibly full of himself, and even longtime progressive media in Vermont are aware of what a thin-skinned jackass he frequently is. The trouble with Bernie | City Pulse
Well that cleared that right up. Thanks for the great explanation: ājust because.ā
I held my nose before and voted but not this time.
Tell us exactly which Democrats you have voted for President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives.
The rude, threatening, and insulting behavior toward a Democratic, female Senator and a Democratic, female party official might have finally been the last straw. These women deserve respect, not Tea Party level attacks.
Gonna have to disagree on this one. Overall, this is working out very well. This has been a very āseparating the wheat from the chaffā event. The far left element(s) of the Democratic & progressive movements got their lightening rod to rally around, their moment in the Sun to get their voice heard and their āplansā (such as they are) put out on the table for all to see.
The adults in the party rejected them. Not the core ideas, but the immature and ill-thought out mechanisms. Bernie & the Bernouts had their chance to make their case for, and they couldnāt.
Further, if the Democratic Party canāt handle and overcome something as disorganized, poorly conceptualized, and flat out Unicorn Dream Cnady as the Great Sandernista Temper Tantrum, we are in no way prepared to handle the general election against Trump and the Republican slime machine.
This whole Democratic primary has been and is a Good Thing, and we need to meditate upon it and consider carefully all the good lessons learned from it.
Good. That is best. Ignore them and offer shelter to those disillusioned souls that come in from the cold and still want to participate as rational adults. Itās the only way forward ā¦ and, remember: we need to keep that same attitude in mind when welcoming former Republicans back into the process as we try to fix the many very serious problems our country and our world face.
As you noted, we have a lot of down ticket work that needs to be accomplished this election. Hillary in the Whitehouse with a Republican-held Senate is not a serious option ā¦ and we canāt let it flip back in 2018, either. Every single Democrat needs to understand that and commit to the long run.
How about an Elizabeth Warren and Al Franken ticket in 2024 ā¦?
Everybody: keep the big picture and the long game in focus. Please.
See, I happen to feel that their anger is totally unjustified because: they are mostly white, and they are really angry over false beliefs that have been planted in their soft little heads.
This country is in better shape by far than it has been at any other time since the 21st century started. My feelings about the Bernie Bros and where they are coming from is that they are really deeply angry at the right and donāt want a leftwing government that is willing to compromise to make democracy happen. I happen to think they are all throwing fits for a dictatorship of the left where they can personally pound rightwingers into the ground. They want a war and so does the right. Sane Americans on the other hand, want a government. Anger voters donāt win presidential elections. They just win off year elections and wouldnāt win those if normal people would turn out and vote.
White, male privilege is not just for Republicans. Hence the obvious disrespect of Democratic women running for president, serving in the Senate, or managing a convention.
Yeah, that too, in a big big way.
You think this is venomous? And you would base your vote on the anonymous commentary on a website? If you are a Sanders supporter, surely you have seen some of the hate-filled rants his āsupportersā have been saying about HRC and the democratic party ā and who knows if they are even legitimate or false flag operations. Take a deep breath and look logically at the situation. If you and others withhold your vote from the democratic nominee ā Hillary or Sanders (if you even still believe he has a chance) then you are enabling the election of Trump. You are enabling the GOP to pack SCOTUS with right wing ideologues. Fat chance for any wall street reform or advancement of civil liberties if Trump is elected. In fact, cilvil liberties will be curtailed for millions of people, mass deportations, the economy will TANK, and the world will respond to his belligerence and threats by testing him ā and we know Trump is vain and thin-skinned. Prepare for trade wars and hot wars. All because you and others could not rise above the rhetoric to protect other people and even to protect your own self-interest. How is that for venom? Not venom ā just the plain unvarnished truth. Please reflect and do the right thing.
