Discussion: Biden Has Smaller Advantage In Iowa, New CNN/Des Moines Register Poll Shows

Biden is running for the presidency in the way that Wile E. Coyote is running across the canyon, on thin air.

I wonder if he is half running just to make sure Sanders doesn’t get the nomination.
Biden seems to be cruising along, enjoying himself without trying hard, yet his very presence is crushing the life out of Bernie’s campaign.

Biden maybe a top runner but only because there are so many better candidates running that are splitting the vote.

Don’t forget the stalking horses! I think PuttiBeet is a stalking horse for Clinton, personally.

He’s not putting all his eggs in the Iowa basket.

But he has such cool friends! This is his entire election strategy:

LOL. On what planet is this?

For Biden, the less one sees of him, probably the better for his campaign. He has the strong advantage of name recognition, and the currently widely held illusion of electability (which is merely a perception with only the power of self-enforcing its own narrative). He needs, and will probably more or less succeed, in finding a balance where his name is kept out there, to remind people that he is indeed running, but not so much that any of his perceived strengths get a lot of examination. It will be interesting to see if it works in the end. (And no, I don’t think he is running merely to suppress Bernie’s campaign. Biden has wanted to be president for decades.)

Like in other polls, Biden’s voters are less educated, more moderate and older.

Yup. I have another name for them, but I’ll keep that to myself for now.

Biden is going to be taken apart at the seams by Bernie and Warren at the debates. I can hardly wait.

Not entirely, but probably a little more than 51%.(And one cannot fault him for using a strategy that mostly seems to be working for him. The question is whether or not that will hold all the way through the primaries.)

Bernie is fading, no? Aren’t there polls which show that many Biden and Bernie votes are fungible? Hence, Biden running hurts Bernie.

The news media covers this marathon by headlining the first hundred yards. Too early for this.

This dynamic might be the most interesting part of these “debates.” Unfortunately, Sanders and Warren, or their supporters, are probably going to need to make a painful choice to coalesce around one candidate. Their total beats Biden, but divided, Biden wins.)

Your comment really deserves a trumpet whinny, Ralph.
