Discussion for article #242457
âThe person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals.â
And, Dr. Carson, I have an incredibly advanced intellect, and even I know it isnât acceptable to call the majority of the American people stupid.
He didnât call Americans stupid.
But what he did do is reveal some of the seriously paranoid crap that he actually believes in. âTheyâ are coming to get you. He buys into some seriously crazy shit about a Marxist conspiracy at all levels of America. Stuff that is so far out there it would make McCarthy blush.
âWeâd be Cuba if there were no Fox News.â
This is the place i would normally write words about what i had just read, but this comment will have to wait until i can get my jaw off the floor.
yes, ben, there are plenty stupid americans and they are the ones that find you appealing. you, on the other hand, have shown massive ignorance over a wide range of topics.
More of that outreachâŚ
âWeâd be Cuba if there were no Fox News.â
Wow, Carson must have been off his game during that speech. Everyone knows if not for Fox News the United States would be like Auschwitz.
We have an incredible opportunity to exactly quantify how many stupid people there are in America. Just count the number of people who vote for Carson!
Someone, at some point, will compile a compendium of the things that Ben Carson has said, publicly.
And Carson will not be able to un-ring that bell⌠He will never be PresidentâŚif that was his intention, he would have gotten over it.
But not the quotesâŚand not the Party under whose aegis the quotes were, are and will be made.
The fact he would even allude to such a slap in the face to average US citizens while running for president demonstrates that Dr. Knowlittleâ is among those âstupidâ AmericansâŚand the kernel of truth in his reference is reflected in the number of Americans who say they will vote for him .
Dear TPM,
The actual quote is:
âMany of them are stupid, okay,â he added to laughs from the audience. âBut Iâm talking about overall.â
Ok, now look at your headline for this story. Discuss.
An occasional thumb-on-the-scale is fine i suppose, but you really donât need it with this guy.
Carson: They have to be stupid to even to consider me, Trump or any of my fellow candidates. We are in fact counting on them being stupid.
Sadly, itâs true, Ben Carson. Many Americans ARE stupid. Some, sadly, are even as stupid as you.
âŚfinally UncaBen is expounding on that which he knows a lotâŚStupid is as Stupid does.
Dr. Carson is laughing all the way to the bank thanks to Fox. Who knew being a complete and utter asshole could be so lucrative.
Do you know what another interesting and fascinating fact is, Dr. Carson? They all belong to the Republican Party. Ainât that a fucking kick in the head? (but since you are a âbrain doctorâ, you can fix that - just like JEB!?).
Google âStupid Ben Carson Quotesâ. The results run for pages. Politico, Daily Kos, National Journal, Business Insider, The Guardian, HuffPost and many others have done exactly as you suggest. Evidently to no ill effect on Carsonâs polling or popularity. A solid 45% of the population will vote for Carson if he is the nominee, no matter how inane, illogical or preposterous his public statements.
So America was Cuba for all but the past 20 years of its history?
Well, Ben, youâd better give thanks for the stupid people. Without them, you wouldnât have a base.
