Personally, I would like to put a #Black Lives Matter t-shirt on grifter and now Trump house toadie Lullaby Ben Carson and push him into a Trump rally…and shout, "Getthim’ boyz’!
In the TPM technical glitches department, this one is kind of sad.
I was cleaning out my junk mail folder from the past week… when TPM was having embarrassing prewritten headlines as election results were coming in this past Saturday, I found this reply from Josh in it.
I had immediately sent them a screenshot of their most egregious one after multiple headline fuck-ups (and my being embarrassed for TPM and albeit crudely letting them know)… the screenshot being one which a very inaccurate prewritten headlines (and me saying “seriously get your shit together TPM”).
I got this emailed back from Josh:
Let’s hope with the “comment gremlins” of yesterday and today in most of the article’s Josh isn’t replying by email to anyone sending him examples and desperately trying to alert them.
I’ll just chalk it up to his having a bad day, still on pain meds and simply reacted poorly to my often blunt demeanor online.
I agree with you. I am not immediately critical of occasional glitches in any system or process, but users deserve some kind of explanation or acknowledgement that a problem exists. TPM commenters are the absolute best - the chance to learn something, get a laugh, share an opinion or engage in a reasonable argument is why I come here. When that option is inexplicably missing for long periods of time, the value of TPM is seriously impacted.
Uh oh! Looks like some of Dr. Knowlittle’s followers are pissed!
bwwahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa! ____ Silly Carsonites! You were punked.
BTW: I had to laugh at Mental Ben’s use of the phrase “over exaggerate” three times!! rotfl
Endorsing a president candidate with a split personality… right
We’ve already been through this.
Same shit, different day…
Ben Carson brings very little to the table for Trump. Carson was down to 2% or less before he dropped out and almost all of his supporters when to some other candidate, so his endorsement means poop.
Carson endorsed the scam company Mannatech, and his own campaign was considered a fundraising scam for its low ratio of money spent on campaiging to money raised. This is like putting a big sign on the Trump campaign, TRUMP IS A SCAM!!!
Ben Carson brings very little to the table for Trump. Carson was down to 2% or less before he dropped out and almost all of his supporters when to some other candidate, so his endorsement means nothing.
Is this thing still working?
This is the only TPM article that has comments since about 6 or 7 o’clock yesterday.
Don’t try to change your avatar right now.
Later y’all. Heading to a “Gremlin” free site.
TPM has had an occasional (though not too often) issue where the comments section link in an article has “javascript:void(0);” errors for months. But they started escalating to several articles a day a week or so ago. But the past 24 hours have been dreadful.
OOops I see J. Marshall did inform folks of the comment gremlin under his editor blog thing about an hour before I posted. Well…that’s progress.
Did you see my post upthread about Josh’s message to me when I sent him a screenshot last Saturday when they had some really embarrassing pre-written headlines in the Sat. election results threads?
Granted I was rather blunt and somewhat coarse in my frantic attempt to let them know.
But yikes.
I wish they would switch to a different commenting platform altogether. One with Vote Up / Vote Down instead of the cute but meaningless system
Damned if I don’t feel like I’m playing an online version of “Whack A’ Mole” just trying to find the right header for the thread I’m looking for. Each click is a ‘surprise’!!! .
From the Site Status “Blog”:
TPM’s tech team updates you on what’s happening on our side of things.
Please send all bugs and other technical issues to SiteIssues at talkingpointsmemo.com Please include what browser and version you are using, the operating system, and a brief, detailed description of the issue.
Somehow, I get the impression that TPM’s “tech team” is a 14-year-old kid working out of a flooded basement in Bangladesh,
Somehow
