Niagara Falls must flow backwards now. Get a grip Ben.
Ben Carson warned that America was on the wrong track, one that could be irreversible.
Good god, I hope he’s right.
Who cares what this idiot says. We alresdy know he’s a fool.
I dd find tf this NYTimes piece interesting, especially about Trump’s balancing act in the rust belt. I grew up in the Scranton Wilkes -Barre, PA area and it doesn’t surprise me these democrats would consider voting for Trump. They are one of the reasons I broke all records leaving that area when I was old enough to get out
A cruise ship on the Niagara? That’s pretty far-fetched, Ben. Of course, you are the master of “fetching things from afar.” If I were you, I’d be more worried about someone trying to force the entire output of Niagara Falls through a drinking straw.
“A Cruise Ship Heading Toward Niagara Falls”
Wow, what an amazing coinky-dink! That’s exactly the same phrase I’ve always used to describe Dr. Ben Carson.
And so the solution to our problems is to hire a new ship’s captain; one that has never been near a boat, or even water, for that matter?
Yes. There is nothing more romantic than the Buffalo skyline from sludge level.
(Edit) And I am not a mariner, ancient or present, but I am not sure the St. Lawrence is uniformly deep enough and free of rock hazards to be safe for a large cruise ship to risk navigating.
Sooner rather than later, something has to be done to aggressively counteract the extremist rightwing propaganda that the USA is heading for some kind of progressive precipice. The purely self-serving Fox News worldview has persuaded millions of white, typically working-class Americans that the Obama presidency was a ‘disaster’ and that the gains it made–Obamacare; reasonable security from terrorism; improved relations with Cuba, Iran; rescue from economic calamity, gay marriage etc.–are for some reason to be viewed as disastrous setbacks. It’s very true that inequality and social justice are burning issues for the country and are real sources of grievance; and it’s true that the economic emancipation of citizens of color involves painful changes for a relatively static and no-longer-privileged white demographic and that valid anxieties exist; but any democracy in which almost half of the population has lost touch with reality is doomed to blow up itself up sooner or later. As matters stand, every general election is a kind Russian roulette with a Republican bullet in two of the chambers; and sooner or later, the gun will fire. Something has to be done. A highly delusional electorate is not compatible with a viable democracy.
“I’m hoping that whoever that third party candidate is will stop for a moment and think about what the implications are of allowing Hillary Clinton or someone like her to get in there,” Carson said according to Politico. “They get two to four Supreme Court picks and completely change the nature of this country."
We grown-ups have thought about it, Dr. Carson, long and hard. And we’ve decided Trump will be given his walking papers … AND properly audited in the near future, I might add. Hillary is the best person in the running for the job.
I can understand why Fox News might interview Carson, but in the world of real news, he has nothing to say.
Carson argued that the ship could start to be turned around if only someone would “recognize the problem.”
but Republican voters told Kasich no.
Sad, this man gets any press. What a maroon.

Sounds good to me. So whoever the alt-Republican third-party spoiler ends up being, I wish them well!
One of these days, someone somewhere might actually ask one of these idiots just what is so horrible about our present situation.
Dolt.

they have been asked.
Now their answers have been ‘there’, but they have been asked.
Ben, let me try to understand this. The country is heading for doom and unless we act we are all going to die. But, we need to prevent any change to the Supreme Court, which might then act to save us all from that doom. So, we need to make sure the Donald becomes our president, so he can keep the Supreme Court on course heading for doom. OK, that makes as much sense as everything else you have told us.
Yes. The Obama administration inflicted upon Americans better than full employment at 4.9%. This is a tragic development after the previous administration worked so hard to trigger the Great Recession when so many more unemployed got to spend much more time with their families (except for those fighting in an unnecessary war overseas).
