I agree. What other reason but click bait.
In the four regions likely to decide the presidency â
Florida, the upper Southeast, the Rust Belt and the interior West â
Mr. Trump faces daunting obstacles.
I contend the NYT is wrong.
The deciding factor to a ÂŽ winning the presidency?
Occurred when none-of-the-17 candidates
who ran under the GOP banner
proved qualified for the office.
As a followup?
EVERY (D) MUST VOTE ON NOVEMBER 8TH.
Period.
If we/they do-- it will be a blowout the enormity of which
might free the albatross from the neck (of historyâs view)
of Goldwater/McGovern/Dukakis.
Make it so.

Obama Is the Democratsâ Reagan

As we near the end of Barack Obamaâs presidency, itâs pretty clear heâll leave a considerable legacy behind. In fact, not since Ronald Reagan has a president so dramatically put his mark on both his party and country.
That Obama was able to accomplish so much despite almost universal opposition from Republicans, makes his record even more impressive.
Here are his five most significant accomplishments:
-
The Affordable Care Act: Easily the most significant piece of legislation in half a century, the law has provided health insurance to more than 25 million Americans. Despite repeated challenges from Republicans in Congress and the courts, it seems likely this law will remain on the books for a generation or more.
-
Economic stimulus and auto bailout: Within his first months in office, Obama firmly rejected the idea that government could not play a significant role in pulling the economy out of the Great Recession. The U.S. economy has seen steady job growth during his entire presidency and both GM and Chrysler are still alive.
-
The Dodd-Frank Act: Obama proposed major financial market reforms soon after taking office and the resulting legislation significantly ramped up regulation of Wall Street. While itâs too early to tell if the law will work, it was a decisive move back towards increasing government oversight after decades of deregulation.
-
Appointment of (at least two) Supreme Court Justices: By picking two women justices, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, Obama helped make the court more reflective of the country. He has been blocked by Senate Republican at naming a third justice.
-
Same-sex marriage: While Obama admits he âevolvedâ on the issue of marriage equality, he helped usher in a new era for millions of gay and lesbian Americans. He also issued an executive order protecting federal workers from discrimination on the basis of their sexual orientation.
And, of course, Obama was the first African-American elected president. That pretty much sealed his place in the history books â even before he was sworn in.
His Jesus following. They do not see Ben as a hoot.
What with the $6/gallon of gas, and the economic re-collapse, yes, heâs right on what ails this broken, shell of a country.
i agree about the NYTimes story. Just pure bunk especially the way they titled the story. I just found the section on the area where I grew up very telling and not surprising.
Ben Carson, celebrity spokesman for âAwry-king River Cruisesâ
[But give him credit, unlike extreme Bernie Supporters, he knows what the stakes are:
âThey get two to four Supreme Court picks and completely change the nature of this country."-]
Whatâs next out of Carson? Would he claim the slave ships were no different than a Carnaval cruise.
You mean these folks-- yes?

I think that from now on, whenever or wherever I see his name, Iâll just move on.
Thereâs really nothing there anymore.
There was nothing there to begin with.
Majority rule and adherence to the Constitution are the two top complaints, I think.
To be fair, he probably meant âsailing to the edge of the Earth and about to fall offâ â because the Earth is flat and the pyramids are full of grain.
This is purely delusional talk from a person who has no business in the media limelight.
âAmerica right now is like a cruise ship that is about to go off of Niagara Falls with tremendous carnage and death,â
In days of yore, this was known as âThe sky is falling, the sky is falling.â
Carson argued that the ship could start to be turned around if only someone would ârecognize the problem.â
⌠and this asshat wanted to be Captain?!? What was he gonna do⌠run us aground on the rocks so we wouldnât go over the fallsâŚ???
⌠Bennie couldnât be the deckhand on a life-raftâŚ
⌠i didnât think anyone remembered SkylabâŚ
Thatâs an interesting article. I love people like the mayor of Miami: âHe considers Mrs. Clinton untrustworthy, but views Mr. Trump as a poisonous candidate who has aggravated racial divisions.â He doesnât consider Trump untrustworthy? A guy who says demonstrably false things on a daily basis, usually several times a day?
Just found an image of RNC HeadquartersâŚ
