Her little videos on Instagram are very cool – everything from mini-civics lessons to a funny discourse on her first encounter with a garbage disposal. She even made a ribbon-cutting look entertaining.

The Nats seem to be laying low and hoping this dies down. That’s a pretty dicey strategy. They really have to make some kind of official comment. An unnamed “person with direct knowledge of the Nationals’ thinking” feeding information to a young beat reporter isn’t going to cut it.
They’ve already got to deal with the Post’s senior statesman of sports reporters (who seems a little confused) having written an impassioned and scathing column on the situation and demanding the Nationals fire someone over this. I say “confused” because they can’t fire anyone in the Fresno office. They can just put pressure on them. Apparently the Nationals front office is satisfied with learning about new internal protocols.
This looks bad for the Nationals organization and they’re not making it any better with their response, or lack of one. All this over a AAA affiliate they didn’t want to affiliate with in the first place.

Nationals’ season ticket holders, take note…
They’ve already got people dumping and planning to drop season and partial season plans because of the constantly increasing cost, poor customer service, and things like losing Bryce Harper.
Attendance is down and would be way down this season if not for the influx of fans of the opposing teams. Their own home Memorial Day featured plenty of empty seats because they were playing a team that’s tanking and doesn’t have a fan base to speak of.
They have to make a strong public statement. This is right in their back yard, almost literally. AOC lives within blocks of the Nationals ball park, for heaven’s sake, which we know because her opponents publicized where she lived and she got death threats. .

Is there a website that lists their corporate sponsors?
Let’s not pretend these companies that withdraw their support are not doing it because they know that as soon as it hits social media, they will not be able to sell raisins. It’s bad for their bottom line.
