Leaving aside the incendiary nature of the video, maybe big boring corporate sponsors aren’t trying to make a political statement when they sponsor a local minor league baseball team. Maybe they know how to engage in political speech directly if they want to do so.

Obviously the incendiary nature of the video takes this notion and cranks it up to 11.

Conversely, what a great statement Sun Maid has made; Sun Maid is a major economic force in the Fresno area.

I used to drive through the area regularly in the late summer and regularly steal — yes, it’s stealing — drying grapes that were “halfway to raisins” from the vineyards. Semi-plump, sweet, delicious. A rare treat.
