Good for Sun Maid. Unfortunately, the Washington Nationals are involved and appear to be happy with the weak response by the minor league team/owners. But then again, the Washington Nationals continue to make poor decisions after poor decisions (e.g., their bull pen).

A month or two ago there were a couple articles in the NYT (“The Raisin Situation”) and WaPo (“How growing raisins became highly dangerous work”) covering how a young CEO at Sun Maid took on “The Raisin Mafia” and was himself the target of death threats and intimidation in a pretty major way and he refused to back down. He took the fight past the mafia leadership and straight to the farmers and won them over. Articles were a good read, the Times one at least I suspect may be up for awards, and left me with the impression the CEO is a very impressive guy.

No surprise to me he would sympathize with AOC’s situation and have zero tolerance for that kind of crap.
