Discussion: Barr Hints Full Mueller Report Might Not Be Sent To Congress After All

Not that we need the freaking Mueller report to impeach the SOB in the WH.

Here’s the real question: Do the regulations require that the report be KEPT confidential? Yes, the regs may require that the report be confidential to Barr, but to they mandate the he keep it from Congress or the public? I’ll bet the answer is no.

If I’m right, then his answer is meaningless, and he should either make it clear that the report WILL go to Congress or he should decide to spend more time with his wife and family.

Rest assured, every page of it will be leaked.

Ah, the Catch-22 argument. DOJ policy is not to indict a sitting President, therefore he will be an uncharged third party, Barr won’t release any info that touches on Trump, and Republicans will therefore say it’s all a nothingberder.

Well, color me shocked and surprised by this turn of events!

If there ever was ever any doubt that this guy was nominated specifically to protect T rumpp from Mueller, lay that suspicion to rest. He most certainly will be loyal in his partisan interpretation of justice for all.

And just for the record, treason on NOT a personnel matter that requires confidentiality! That interpretation of the law is grounds for dismissal of his nomination.

Duh!

Barr is a tried and true cover-up artist. That’s why he’ll be confirmed by every Senate Rethugliklan.

However, that won’t stop Mueller from testifying before multiple House committees and publicly spilling the beans.

Let’s see Barr cover that up.

I look forward to Mueller’s testimony before the committee …

Am I wrong that cabinet nominees still need 60 votes?

The more Barr keeps talking like this, the wordier Mueller’s indictments will become.

That’s right. This nonsense just draws more attention to it.

I believe the idiot who runs Education got 50 plus Pence, so only a majority (which includes the tie-breaker).

“Barr in the answers also cited DOJ regulations calling the special counsel report a “confidential” report, as well as department policy more generally discouraging public disclosure of information about parties prosecutors choose not to charge.”

Yeah, no surprise there. On the positive side, there’s a good chance that Mueller will come up with gen-u-wine conspiracy and Capital T Treason, not “just” obstruction that would fall under traditional hands-off rules for a sitting President.

If it’s that explosive, it will be an indictment that Barr can’t suppress. If he tries, it will be leak city (more than usual, that is). As a backup, there is always the SDNY, and impeachment based on what’s already in public view. But it would be so very satisfying to see this move through the DOJ with Trump’s hand-picked guy in charge, and being forced to nail Trump’s ass.

I guess we’ll just have to read the indictments instead. That and the sentencing reports.

If so, then that info will likely be in the indictment.

This useless bum can’t do jack.

But there won’t be an indictment, because of the DOJ policy not to indict a sitting President… So then Barr will block releasing any information that would otherwise be an indictable offense, as the President would be an uncharged third party…
