Proud to have her as California’s actual Democratic Senator.

Barbara is being a little harsh.
I mean, who could have predicted back in 2003 that going to war with Iraq would involve us in a quagmire, destabilize the region, strengthen Iran’s influence, cost the lives of 4,500 American soldiers with an additional 32,000 casualties and leave us with a tab in the trillions?

Seriously, other than everyfuckingbody, who else?

  • The vast majority of Congress voted for war in Iraq. Period!
  • Republicans and Democrats alike. Period!
  • Those who claim they voted pro war because they were misled are plain fat liars. Period!

Those same GOP cheerleaders were going to name the foray Operation Iraqi Liberation until they realized it acronymed the real reason for the invasion. As they say after the circus leaves town, the hardest job is cleaning up after the elephant parade.

“Some of the biggest Democrats cheerleaders for the disastrous war in Vietnam are now joining the blame-America-first crowd rather than working with our Commander-in-Chief to confront this crisis,”

A different war, started by then Democratic President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, with same results and same politics.

Why’d you bail on the last thread when you were blaming Obama for Bush’s failed war? It’s like you were avoiding us.

•If you are against the war, you’re unpatriotic. Period!
•If you question the war, you’re unAmerican. Period!
•You’re either with us or against us . Period!

Course that was pre-2009.
But yeah, until now the war was going swimmingly well.
The one that liberated people of Iraq and made them greet soldiers with hydrangeas and roses.
The one that would be paid for with oil.
The one that we would be in and out of, really fast.
The one where major combat operations ended in 2003. Mission accomplished.

Period. Or Exclamation mark. Or question mark.
One of those…

And which moment was that?

ah, so I guess we should just go back.

Well then, it’s perfectly ok for Bush & Co. to have gotten us into TWO quagmires.

Boxer was one of just 23 senators who voted against the October 2002 resolution to authorize the use of military force in Iraq, a move she later called one of her proudest moments as a senator.

Wow. I didn’t remember she was one of the few in Congress who wasn’t a fucking sheep on that day.

Thank you Senator Boxer.

Good job Barbara. Now take Feinstein into the ladies room and “talk” some sense into her.
