This is all subterfuge, IMO. Remember when Bannon said that tRUMP’s term was nearing an early exit? As the MSM and all the sheep were watching that shiny object, PP and the family syndicate were appointing RWNJ judges at a fevered pace, stripping regulations, killing Net- Neutrality and most ‘bigly’ shoving that tax thing up our asses.

I am paraphasing Josh here, but "It is demagoguery in the service of distraction"

My two cents

“This is all about money laundering. Mueller chose [senior prosecutor Andrew] Weissmann first and he is a money-laundering guy. Their path to fucking Trump goes right through Paul Manafort, Don Jr and Jared Kushner,” he added, per The Guardian. “It’s as plain as a hair on your face.”

Reporter: Do you mean the hair on your face, sir?

Bannon" What?? Oh right, you don’t have a beard. I meant as plain as the whiskey on your breath.

Reporter: Rolling eyes and sighing as he just gives up

But he isn’t wrong. There is a money laundering trail that goes right through Manafort, Junior and Kushner. OTOH, its not all about money laundering, and Bannon will have a future date with Mueller to face, too. So in typical Bannon style, he is all about throwing everyone ELSE under the bus.

“They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV,”

Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if only white comes out…

So much for those loyalty pledges.

I don’t see what you see. Everything Bannon said about the Trump Tower meeting is true and it’s exactly what the rest of us have been screaming in vain at the Trump cultists all along. It was treasonous, unpatriotic, a bad decision, and profoundly stupid for these three stooges to do what they did. A quadfecta of dumbfuckery at the highest levels of the Trump campaign.

This is not eleventh-dimensional chess; this is Bannon doing what comes naturally to him, burning shit down.

If anybody tries to flee the country, Junior is the one I would put my money on.

In fact, I have been wondering about that hunting trip to Canada he took, right after he announced he wouldn’t have Secret Service coverage…only to announce he would be reinstating coverage after he returned. I suspect that Junior met with some people about securing a way out during those two weeks.

Bannon is right on this, especially how they are going to crack Trump. It is all about the money laundering. That is the hook the Russians have in Trump and Mueller knows it. Trump is a made man and totally beholden to Putin, the peepee tape doesn’t have anything to do with it.

??? What? That makes no sense.

Once again, what does one have to do with the other? Are you suggesting that we need to ignore the Russia investigation? Because to stop all of the above from happening, we need to get these assholes charged, convicted, etc., so we can get power back in 2018.

In all seriousness, I just don’t see any kind of “subterfuge” here. In fact, it’s been the White House who have been claiming the Russia thing is some kind of subterfuge.

And frankly, I hate Bannon, but his line about Eric and the egg is a classic in my opinion.

Throwing people under the bus is what he does. He won’t avoid his reckoning, though. Can you say “Cambridge Analytica”? Smelly two-shirts is feeling the heat.

I suspect there will be ancillary charges associated with the collusion (such as lying to the FBI and possibly campaign law violations [in-kind contributions from foreign sources]), but I agree the meat of it will be the financial crimes, everyone but the Trump cult knows they are neck-deep in dirty Russian money.

it’s become the go-to line for people who overthink this shit: “it’s a distraction! Eleventh-dimensional chess!”

It’s difficult for some to believe that people/the media can pay attention to more than one thing at a time.

In the early 2000’s, Trump bought a condo in FL for about $45 mil. Two years later he sold it for over $90 mil to a known money launderer. That’s just one example, and the thing I think that will help sink Trump is the fact that Manafort was being wiretapped for years. Trump is not an email guy since he is a moron, but he is a blabbermouth. And you know he had phone calls with Manafort many times. I think Mueller has a lot of those conversations, but he is still working his way up the ladder to high level people to testify or be interviewed by Feds. Then he can get perjury charges as well.

I think it would be helpful to ask ourselves what each of these people is likeliest to do when he or she knows the jig is up, and then watch for that. Bannon’s superficial, a born arsonist, and not nearly as smart as he thinks he is, but he’s not stupid.

This serves to continue his knifings in the backs of Junior and Kush and, by extension, Ivanka, all of whom he hates and blames for his own ousting from Tramp’s orbit.

But Bannon has his own day of reckoning coming vis a vis Cambridge Analytica and its role in the data operations that fed microtargeted data to the Russian troll farms. An egotist like Bannon is unlikely to take the fall for the Mercers and he’s equally unlikely to be able to push all of the blame onto Kush.

How he’s managing to keep Tramp believing that he’s still working for him is beyond me…

But please note that in burning shit down, Bannon is being very careful to keep himself out of the explosion radius. Or at least trying to.

Its fallacy to think that Bannon was some innocent observer of what was going on. Or that he was kept out of the loop. Bannon was in on every meeting that we know of between a senior Trumper and a Russian agent. The only reason he wasn’t in the Trump Towers meeting is because he wasn’t hired yet.

Which is a pretty interesting note, and one I doubt Mueller has missed. How does he know what happened in that meeting, since he wasn’t with the campaign? Was it discussed later after he was hired? How often? In what context, and with whom?

I have a feeling behind the scenes, Mueller is just trying to line up the right leverage to use on Bannon. Because Bannon will sing like the prettiest song bird ever, once Mueller has him dead to rights.

He’s no Daniel, but even through his alcoholic haze, he can translate “mene mene tekel parsin.”

The real tell, though, is going to be whether Breitbart begins preparing the idiots who read it for the end.
