What he regrets is that he got caught.
Or “if” anyone was offended.
Do these guys go to a school somewhere to master the non-apology apology?
Being out of a job will bring up feelings of regret.
Does he apologize to anyone who’s offended by his lawyer offering up a particularly oily and infuriating level one nonpology that passively-agressively fails to take any responsibility for having done anything wrong?
Have we finally reached the point where people actually think “apologizing” means offering your regrets that anyone was wrongfully offended by your entirely proper actions?
I get that the guy’s got to be worried about lawsuits and that his lawyer knows an apology is an admission of liability. But this just did his client a lot more harm than just not saying anything would have.
He probably regrets doing that barrel roll more than he regrets any of his inappropriate, overly aggressive actions. His Captain Kirk impression has made him a laughingstock on the internets.
Given that this is the second time he’s been caught doing something like this- no, he doesn’t regret it and no, he doesn’t get to regret it. He doesn’t understand what he did wrong. He’s one of those bad cops who loves to pretend he’s an action hero and it’s just amazing he didn’t kill someone.
Words were issued from the attorney’s mouth. Grammar was bruised. Syntax was garbled. Tenses were passivized. Responsibility was shirked. Conditional apologizes were tendered (Sorry if anyone…). Excuses were offered. Emotions were riled. Context was provided. Misdirection was amplified. Attention was nudged elsewhere. Pensions were preserved.
Bushkin told reporters that the video did not show all of Casebolt’s actions and said, “His actions were only in attempt to investigate the reports of violent assaults.”
True, the video didn’t show all of Casebolt’s actions. He may have behaved even worse than what was shown.
“He was not targeting minorities,” she added, noting that he also detained a white female near the community pool on Friday.
Probably the white female who stood up against the racism directed at her peers and then was attacked by two adults. The only thing these types of people hate more than minorities is a white person who dares to be sympathetic with minorities. Also, please explain why he completely ignored the white kid with the camera, the heavyset white guys who actually got involved in the arrest, and all the white kids in the street.
He should call Hannity and tell him.
A RWAC posted yesterday that the kkkop pulled the gun on the blacks because one of them put his hand behind his back as if to pull a gun. A picture taken about a minute later showed a white boy standing over the cop with his hand behind his back as if he was pulling a gun. Not a flinch from the kkkop. I do wonder what the difference is…
Bushkin said that Casebolt would address the media in the near future
I know just the venue.
Hannity or Kelly? Anyone want to track wagers?
Soon enough we’ll hear about him busting up a brawl at the McKinney Walmart snack counter because he’ll be their rent a cop.
. . . followed by the tell-all book from Regnery
I’m still waiting for the blivet in khaki shorts to be identified.
The cop truly regrets … all of the outrage, criticism, and condemnation to which he has since been subjected.
Boo freakin’ hoo.
McKinney, Texas is about to experience a local tax increase so they can write the check they’re gonna be forced to write.
"He was not targeting minorities," she added, noting that he also detained a white female near the community pool on Friday.
Let’s see the video of him slamming the white girl onto the ground, pulling her by the hair, and planting a knee in her back with his famed 30 pounds of gear adding even more weight to his donut-eatin’ roly-poly somersaultin’ ass.
My money is on Hannity.
