Discussion: At First White House Press Briefing, No One Gets A Question

Bit me Sean Spicer but that’s not how it works as of noon 01/20/17. You signed up for this shit, and this is not how We the People ( OK those of us that haven’t drunk the orange koolaid) will tolerate you and your boss’s lying. We have ways of making your life hell, and your little dog too.

White House “briefing” … they meant …" tongue lashing " —

They just need a little more time to get ya used to the new term cause …

the new one sounds kinda … homo —

Seriously? THIS is what he came out to screech about? That the Trump administration is butt hurt that the media DARED to publish photos that conclusively prove that the Trump inauguration had a smaller attendance than his predecessor’s? How about a statement from the President praising the hundreds of thousands of women who came to Washington today to exercise their First Amendment rights to protest? This is going to be a LONG four years.

My first question would be: “Who’s suit are you wearing, Sean?”

How many more days of lost innocence will it take before it sinks in that this is the new normal? That it’s not changing.

We’ve been fed an endless diet of assumptions since the GOP convention that Trump would ‘pivot’ at some point. This despite the fact that literally everything Trump has said and done these last 6 months has made clear he has no intention of ever doing so.

The Beltway media are as idiotic and thick-headed as Trump and those surrounding him.

Apparently the new cosmetic look for sTrumpets will be the spray-tan goggle outline.

Ari Fleischer, former White House press secretary under George W. Bush noted that Spicer’s comments must have come right from the top.

Fleischer’s right. They came right from Bannon.

I’ll go ahead and give em’ this first one …

But the next one … in 6 months …?

They better have it down somewhat by then —

Sean Spicer was exposed as a tool of the President. He looked like a cartoon character from a movie raging, foaming from the mouth. He behaved like his boss- an immature little boy throwing a temper tantrum because someone said he didn’t have the biggest party in town. Facts be damned. Consequently, The press briefing seemed more like a Potemkin Village briefing than a setting for journalists to ask questions…If Sean can’t stand the heat, he should get out of the press room.He is in a word - SHAMEFUL.

The House of White Nationalists may feel they can eschew a dialogue with the press now, but they will have a much more difficult time withholding answers during the impeachment trial.

Little Donald has very small crowds. Very low energy.

There is so much about this…

Sean’s suit looks like it was borrowed from his uncle, who also tied (badly) his tie.

Then he spends a minute on the bust of MLK? Certainly there are more important things to spend your (and our) valuable time on…

Then the whole diatribe on crowd size? So the Donald thinks that maybe if the crowd swells, something on his body might swell, too?

Finally, telling the press what to report? The administration would be well served to remember the immortal words of Samuel Clemens.

“Never pick a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel.”

I was there (at the Tucson march). And I don’t go anywhere willingly.

I think that Sean Spicer and Trump’s bizarre antics are a side show and should be ignored. We are getting distracted by bright and shiny objects.

The Democratic party should focus on the violation of the Post Office lease and have that contract enforced. It is time for new ownership for that landmark.

They could take a page from the approach made famous by the late FBI agent Elliott Ness and focus on exposing Trump’s track record of income tax payments and bring him to justice for any acts of tax evasion and misuse of charitable donations.

Little boy in a terrible suit rails against the truth. Seriously, someone in that room should have pointed at him and laughed. What use is there for a press briefing room in a Trump administration, but to capture the tantrums.
